Hello potential parents and students! My name is Kenneth R., and I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and I earned a bachelor's degree in Finance. I have been tutoring/teaching high school students at an alternative high school for the past 7 years and I love it! It's very rewarding to bring a drive and compassion to a young hungry mind and see results and progress in a young student eager to excel in their own future. I special... [more]

I love science, especially Chemistry, and I never pass up the chance to pass on what I know. I have been tutoring math and science since High School, and I really enjoy it. The greatest thing about tutoring is when my student finally gets it. That is the best feeling. In college, I tutored both High School and College students in English, Algebra, Precalculus, Statistics, Chemistry, and Physics. When I went on to Graduate School, I continued the same. I have close to three years of paid expe... [more]

Every student I have tutored has received at least a B in his/her course and so will you! I'm Joe G. and can tutor just about any subject and help anyone. I am an undergrad at ULL majoring in physics and math. I love helping students who struggle in these classes because the material can be improperly presented which causes students to dislike such a fun area of study. I am currently in upper level courses for physics and math at the university, so I am qualified to help high school level and below math and physics. I have tutored before for middle and high schoolers in algebra and geometry and a few college students in their math and physics... [more]

I took Precalculus in my sophmore year of high school and taught it as a part of a commitment of the math club in the school. I taught kids how to compete in competitions and they came home with 1st and 2nd place from regional and state competitions in math. I am a student at Louisiana State University. I am currently majoring in Finance with a minor in math; I chalk that up to my love for the math. I was apart of many mathematics related organizations during my high school career. Within these organizations, I held the position what we called e-board (Education board). I was a tutor for all m [more]

I've tutored regularly for seven years in all levels of math, english, and science. I also have experience working with study skills in professional setting. In January 2016 to May 2016, I co-taught a college-level study skills course. Along with this, I used to lead an ACT study group where three of the four people went up by four points on their ACT score. Since then, I have had the chance to tutor several people in the ACT that have had their composite score go up by at least two points.... [more]

I am a crazy mathematics fanatic. I have loved math from age 14 in high school. As a high school student, I breezed through accelerated classes (1/2 year courses) until I was learning calculus as a junior. I started tutoring at age 15 and created a solid business in the Lafayette area. By the time I started college, I realized that teaching math was my passion, and I decided to get a math degree. While in college I continued to tutor. I worked for a tutoring business in Opelousas for ... [more]

Hi, I'm Laurie. At the age of 6, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I can recall playing school with my sisters and I, as the teacher, would grade the tests that I prepared for them, marking 100% A+ . After graduating college with a Master?s in Mathematics, I taught Special Education Math at a high school for 2 years, Real Estate Math at Weichert Realtors for 1 year, and various college math courses at different colleges and universities for over 10 years (both online and onsite courses). T... [more]

I've always enjoyed mathematics and more importantly, always enjoyed teaching it. I've tutored on and off for a number of years. Math frequently feels like a struggle for many people so it is my goal when I teach to connect ideas with things that everyone knows. For example, fractions are especially difficult for many people but thinking about them as money helps a lot. If I say, "what's 1/2 + 3/4?" that can take a little bit of time to think about, but if I say, "How much money is 50 cents p... [more]
