I have successfully passed the Praxis I and II tests in math in NH, therefore I am certified as highly qualified in high school math which includes the area of Pre-Calculus. In the past as a college math student, I had worked as a class-link tutor in Pre-Calculus at the University of New Hampshire in Manchester for three semesters which involves attending each class and assisting the students during class. It also included organizing study groups for students. Four years later I returned to this University to tutor math students, many in the area of Pre-Calculus. This has allowed me to deve [more]

I consider precalculus to be the most difficult math course in a high school curriculum. A student must have a solid understanding of algebra and a strong work ethic. The teacher, or in this case, the tutor must have the same. The subject of trigonometry is covered for about 12 weeks of this course. Other functions such as polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic are also covered. At the end of the course, the teacher will either cover conics or discrete math. The first part of the course should also prepare you for the S.A.T. test. I have been teaching this course for the majority of my forty [more]

I have been a state certified teacher, in both math and science, for over 13 years now. I have had great success in both the public and private school environment teaching all levels of math through AP Calculus and all levels of science through Honors Physics. I am currently a mathematics major. I have been tutoring in math for 2 years and have some experience working in classrooms. I have tutored middle school, high school, and college students in many different subjects, such as algebra, geometry, proofs, etc. For many people, math is intimidating, but my goal when tutoring is to make the students more confident in their math abilities and be able to do math more independently. I not only make sure the student knows how to do the math, but al... [more]

I am an experienced teacher of maths and physics. I have taught many students from elementary level up to university students. I was an associate professor and I have an advanced degree in Engineering but I love teaching. I always put the student's interest first and adapt my explanations and the level of instructions according to the understanding of the particular person in my charge.
