I started off my college career as a math major. Although that was a long time ago, I have helped several students with their pre-calculus courses. The precalculus student that I helped just last academic year went from getting Cs and Bs in her tests to As. She got an "A" in her last course, and she was extremely happy with the results. Since then, I have continued reviewing pre-calculus material and I expect to do so for a long time - it is a subject I enjoy a great deal. I am now working on learning how to use the graphing calculator (TI-84) for pre-calculus problems. I prefer that students [more]

I have tutored high school students in algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus. I have a PhD. in experimental nuclear physics and have been tutoring high school and college students in physics and math for more than 5 years. I have completed undergraduate coursework in the following math subjects - differential and integral calculus, advanced calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, advanced differential equations with applications, and complex analysis. Hi, Everyone, I am a long-time senior engineering physicist at a national laboratory, with a Ph.D. in experimental nucle [more]

Whether students love math and science or despise them, I am usually able to make the experience better for them. I tailor tutoring sessions based on students? needs and parents? expectations. When a student is struggling, I provide specific help where it's needed. I am particularly good at making Chemistry much less painful to deal with. I am able to explain the material in understandable ways. One of the best compliments I received recently is that one of my students jokingly said to her... [more]

I have a B.S., Benedictine University, and M.S., University of Chicago. I have over fifteen years of experience tutoring to high school, college, and graduate students. My specialty lies in tutoring mathematics in several areas such as calculus, elementary/abstract algebra, linear algebra, differential equations, real/complex analysis, and topology. In my experience, I've found that students learn mathematics most efficiently through conceptual-based learning and active engagement in problem solving. Because of this, I will teach you problem solving strategies ... [more]

I earned a minor in mathematics from my undergraduate university, including Precalculus. I have over 5 years of experience tutoring in mathematics, and took a broad range of mathematics courses and never received below an A in them. I am Zack! I have been tutoring since my very first year at my university, and I love helping people learn, and learn how to learn. I worked in the Academic Assistance Resource Center (AARC) at my university's library where I tutored fellow students in Physics, Engineering, Astronomy, and Mathematics. I also worked as a Physics Laboratory Instructor in my academic [more]
