Choose me as your Pre-Calculus tutor, and I will devote myself to your success! Pre-Calculus is a steppingstone to more sophisticated mathematics. It previews a myriad of concepts which range from matrix algebra, to limits, and from trigonometry to conic sections. When Am I Ever Going to Use This? We use ideas from Pre-Calculus when studying advanced theories, as well as when studying science and engineering. For example, trigonometry is used to analyze vectors like velocity and force which are fundamental concepts from physics. These ideas together with some from conic sections are used in [more]

Hi, I'm Evan! I studied actuarial science and got my bachelor's degree at FSU, and in the pursuit of a second degree I started tutoring professionally in March. I've been helping fellow students through shared classes since Algebra 2 in high school, worked hourly with students at Eastern Florida State College, and I currently tutor all levels of math and teach kids' coding. To say a bit about me personally, I teach the importance of reading by way of example, and I take care of an old rescu... [more]

In addition to teaching precalculus at the high school level, I most recently have taught precalculus at Valencia College and Eastern Florida State College from 2004 to 2012. I am also familiar with the TI-83 graphing calculator which is commonly used in classrooms. I have been a teacher most of my life. After graduating from college, I began my teaching career at a high school in Pennsylvania which lasted 36 years. While teaching full time, I attended graduate school earning a Master of Science in mathematics. During those 36 years at a high school, I also taught part-time for a community col [more]

Throughout my academic history I have been known by my teachers and professors as one who performs well in my studies. Whether it's participating in the Connecticut Invention Convention in elementary school, or performing and presenting research in meteorology at Florida Institute of Technology, my teachers have said that I am an above-average student. Having enjoyed the math and sciences in high school, I decided to pursue a degree in meteorology. I graduated from Florida Institute of Techn... [more]

I am a Certified Secondary Math Teacher with an M.Ed. I have had teaching experience spanning 10 years of combined teaching and tutoring in science, technology and math. My tutoring experience includes having trained with and tutored standardized test prep for both Princeton Review and Kaplan. Most students struggling in mathematics tend to have holes in their fundamental understanding of concepts taught earlier in the year or in prior years. Given my experience teaching math at all lev... I have tutored many students in different levels, mainly Algebra I/II, Trigonometry, Geometry, Calculus I/II. I love to work with students and help them build unique skills in math.... [more]

Hi! I'm Isriah. I'm an 18 year old high school senior. In addition to my high school diploma, I am pursuing my degree at EFSC, my Cambridge diploma, and multiple certification courses. In my free time I surf, participate in FRC robotics, and volunteer regularly (I've accrued over 2000 volunteer hours during my time in high school!). I've been tutoring for three years, mostly in math and writing. I started out helping lead study groups for classmates, but decided my time would be better spe... [more]

I have been tutoring math since I was in college. I love working with kids and enjoy seeing them succeed. My tutoring methods are well defined and children find me easy to understand. I have been able to help students who are struggling with math concepts and improved their lives through mathematics. I have two children of my own, an 8th grader and a College student so I understand how children learn. My background is in mathematics and I have also been teaching all level math courses includ... With a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, and been an adjunct math professor at Eastern Florida State College as well as an ESE math teacher at Odyssey Charter School , I feel confident about the skills and knowledge I can bring to the students. I plan to use my real world experience in bringing the field of mathematics to life in a manner that will make learning both enjoyable and effective. I have had the opportunity to teach students below, on, and above the grade level and I h... [more]

I took calculus 1,2 and 3 in college and did well in all of them. I also tutored all 3 for about 2.5 years so precalculus will be no problem for me to tutor. I have a bachelor's and master's in chemical engineering. I tutored math, chemistry and chemical engineering in undergrad for 2.5 years and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I did one-on-one as well as group sessions. General chemistry, organic chemistry, differential equations and calculus were the most requested subjects. I found the experience to be mutually rewarding: I got to help others understand and practice material and they helped me to [more]
