I can assist students with probability and have effective ways to explain the material. Tutoring is my full time job. With well over 20 years of teaching/tutoring experience, I doubt there are many tutors as patient, talented or effective as I am. I bring a lot more to the table than what you see "on paper" and am constantly told by my students how well I explain things. Though other tutors may be cheaper, I am more efficient due to my experience and explanations. After 5 lessons, one of my SAT Math students improved her Math test score by 140 points last year! Another went... [more]

Hello! At current I am an entrepreneur building software with some former colleagues, and looking for a way to ensure I can make that work. In my spare time, I enjoy running and training for triathlons, reading and writing, traveling, and learning new skills. Before my current attempt to start my own business, I studied Engineering and Finance at Lehigh University, graduating in 2010 and obtaining a Master's in 2011. After that, I came to the D.C. area to work at a consulting firm that pro... [more]

I firmly believe in the limitless potential of each and every one of my students. I discovered during my high school years that determination, organization skills and just plain hard work can help each of us tap into that limitless potential. My success on the PSAT was a revelation that inspired me to work harder: I earned a full-tuition National Merit Scholarship to study Economics and International Studies at American University. In 2014, I prepared for the GRE and earned a 328/340 (with a ... [more]

I can also help with other high school-level courses. I'm happy to work with you whether you're struggling in your current class and want to see improvement or you want to get ahead. Send me a message and I'll... [more]

I'm a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in math and statistics and graduated summa cum laude. I've tutored in Philadelphia for 4 years, and I love helping students work through the toughest math problems and finding strategies that help them succeed. I've found that really breaking problems down into their constituent parts makes students of any age able to attack math problems without becoming overwhelmed. I have experience tutoring students as young as 6 ... [more]

P (me understanding probability) = 1 I have taken numerous levels of probability throughout college, and I have developed a strong understanding of the material at a basic level and a theoretical level. Understanding it in theory allows me to present the material and show how all of it works, rather than just learning how to do a specific problem. I can explain probability so that the student can understand the material and the process. P (your student being successful ) = 1 Hello! My name is Frank, and I have my bachelor's degree in applied mathematics. Rather than read a long paragraph, h [more]
