I've used probability to describe the branching ratios of different chemical reactions. Some of my work related to using probability to describe the rates of chemical reactions. I also enjoy calculating probabilities for dice rolls and card games. At one point, I developed a model that identifies the risk/probability of a college closing in the next 4 years. I have over five years experience teaching and tutoring students in math and programming. I gained most of my experience teaching prison inmates math courses from pre-Algebra to Precalculus and Statitics in San Quentin State Prison. Don't [more]

Learning has always been a passion in my life. Academic learning, life experience, motivational books. Just name it. I have helped and tutored grade levels from elementary to college, where I majored in Chemical Engineering. I took time to understand concepts and extended these understandings to different subjects. I took AP science, math, history and social science courses in high school and continued my intellectual pursuits in college. I have usually tutored math and science subjects in i... [more]

Tutoring is an act of observation. It succeeds where normal instruction fails because it is geared toward a student's particular strengths. My best experiences as a tutor have been with the students who needed me most, learning how they needed to learn. I have been a tutor in one setting or another since childhood. As an undergraduate I was a teacher's assistant in English, German and Astronomy, a grader in Calculus and a tutor in Physics for scientists and engineers. I have continued to... [more]

I have more than 8 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I am patient and make learning fun and easy. My formal education includes a bachelor's degree in Math from the University of Chicago with minor in Statistics, PhD coursework in Math at Cornell University, and a master's degree in Computer Science from Cornell University. You do not need to travel. I will come to your home and work with you in the environment you find most comfortable. I guarantee my work. If for any reaso... [more]

I like tutoring and proud of teaching hundreds of high school, college, and university students. I tutor in my home office as well as within 10 miles radius from my office. My teaching methods have proven success for better grades in local and state exams. I tutor MATH, SCIENCE, AND ENGLISH for success on SAT, ACT, GED, MCAT, TOEFL, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Algebra 1, Algebra 2. I hold BS degree in math and science, MS degree in chemistry, major in organic chemistry, and P... [more]

I am a credentialed in Math and Business. I have taught for over 15 years in Public Schools in California. I graduated from San Jose State University in Business and Marketing, and subsequently from Chapman University where I received my teaching credential. I have taught in both Middle and High School, teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2. For those who have difficulty passing the Exit Exam, I also have past question booklets where we can review the kinds of questions th... [more]

Hello students! I'm Drew. I know I can help you learning mathematics, chemistry, physics, and music. I'd like to start by saying that I have received many requests from students living in Danville, San Ramon, Dublin, even Berkeley and Burlingame! I live in Antioch, and limit my area to Eastern Contra Costa County plus Concord, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, and Walnut Creek east of 680. If you do not live inside my response area, please do not request tutoring from me, as I will only turn you ... [more]

I took upper-division probability at USC, a difficult course that went well beyond the standards like: permutations, combinations, and standard distributions. I also understand the math behind the probability-specific functions. I have successfully tutored a student to prepare for a final. I am an experienced math teacher and tutor with 4 years teaching experience (1 high school including Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II, and 3 middle school including Pre-Algebra and Algebra I) and 7 years tutoring math (grade 1 - 6, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, SA [more]

I have already taught a few hours of probability theory using the Wyzant System and have received good ratings for it. I have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University. I have been employed in the tech industry in the bay area for over 10 years. I have a technical background with emphasis in Problem solving and Math. I have used this knowledge to develop algorithms related to human speech, audio, images and now, biomedical signals. Matlab had been my official playing field for the development of these algorithms. For the past few years I have been using Pytho [more]

I went to UC Riverside for my PhD in mechanical engineering, my daytime job is at California Environmental Protection Agency as a research scientist and engineer. During high school I was part of International Physics Olympiad competition and I received medal of honor at the national level. My vigorous interest in teaching comes from my own positive experience as a student and from a love of learning. As I started tutoring during high school, teaching became an inseparable part of my life. I... [more]
