I have loved and enjoyed probability and statistics every time I have taken it. I studied the subject in Business Graduate School as well as college, and have taken an additional course in Advanced Statistics. I have a talent for making Probability and Statistics understandable by breaking concepts down into manageable pieces and explaining the concepts, so one does not get lost in a mishmash of half numbers and half Greek. Once I explain the concepts, probability becomes very doable, if not downright fun. [more]

Associated college coursework completed includes: Biostatistics, Epidemiology I & II, Epidemiology of Chronic Disease, Epidemiology of Infectious Disease, and Statistics. Unfortunately, learning by osmosis doesn't work however, by learning the right things as they're needed, we can build confidence in subject knowledge, improve grades, and prepare you to successfully meet your academic and/or test preparation goals. As to my own tutoring qualifications, I hold a Masters of Public Health in Environmental Health, a Graduate Certificate of Public Health in Epidemiology, and Bachelors of Science [more]

I have always been really great at math. I have helped countless friends and colleagues who have struggled with math before. Throughout high school I was asked by many teachers to help with certain kids that just didn't learn the way the teacher was teaching it so I would come at it from different angles because I believe everyone learns differently. I have also always got along very well with anyone. I was captain of my soccer and golf teams which would appeal to the sports fanatics out ... [more]

While finishing my M.S. in Chemistry at DePaul University I completed a course in statistical analysis of data. The first half of the course was a thorough treatment of probability theory with significant emphasis on problem solving. I have also taught many classes in advanced mathematics where basic probability was a requisite part of the subject. Hi, I'm Greg. Hi! My name is Sara and I love to work with people. Although I am currently teaching online, I miss the face to face interaction that comes with working with students, especially one-to-one or in a small group. From 1986 to the present, I have had the opportunity to teach in the United States, as well as abroad in the Middle East. Although I have taught and/or tutored all levels K-12, I seem to have a fondness for upper elementary through the first years of high school. I think this is ... [more]
