I am a Math GEEK!!! Yes, I admit it! I do, however, meet students where THEY are in their math abilities, their confidence level and their "likeability" of the subject. We all have our strengths and areas to improve; students do need basic math skills to graduate and to function in life, then advanced skills to score well on college placement exams. My greatest joys and accomplishments are when students can feel that light bulb turn on in their minds - understanding what they previously ... [more]

Regarding my educational level, I have a Master's degree in Physics from Western Michigan University, and now I am working toward earning my PhD in theoretical subatomic physics. Focusing on the theoretical branch of physics requires vast amount of mathematical knowledge or what we are used to call; mathematical tools. I have a long experience conducting various physics labs. I also worked as a tutor in the Physics Help Room. My first tutoring experience ever was in free tutoring some relati... [more]

I am a graduate from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and I currently teach High School Mathematics. I love all topics in math, and I love helping students with them. I enjoy teaching my classes, but I find that individual attention is much more productive for all students. This will be my 5th year of teaching in Battle Creek, and I have helped dozens of students in Portage and Kalamazoo improve their test scores, get ahead of their class, or feel more confident about their math s... I've been tutoring math of just about all subjects for 10 years. In that time, I've developed multiple ways of teaching mathematics in a level of understanding that is compatible to multiple mindsets, from people who pick up quickly to people who need time to understand - anything from simple addition to Algebra, from Geometry to Calculus, and just about anything in between. I've worked as a math tutor with Andrews University for 3 years, and I have invaluable experience being on both sides... [more]

Hey, So I just graduated college this past April from the University of Cincinnati with my undergraduate in mechanical engineering. I also graduated with my Masters in Business Administration. I am currently working as a lean manufacturing engineer in Memphis. I want to become a tutor for two main reasons 1) student loans and 2) I love to teach. In high school I was captain of my chess and swimming teams. I was a member of my high school's soccer team and I was a leader in our intern... [more]

I am thrilled to introduce myself and to provide you with a brief background of my qualifications. I began my secondary education coursework at the University of Michigan School of Education in an effort to ultimately pursue my goal of becoming a mathematics teacher. I currently teach at the middle school level and am certified in grades 6-12 in both mathematics and psychology. I am pleased to share that, for me, grade school was one of the most memorable and engaging periods in my life as ... [more]
