I was the principal instructor for a major test preparation company for a number of years, and I am certified to teach test prep for the PSAT, ACT, SAT, GMAT, and GRE. For more than ten years, I was an instructor for Math, Reading and Writing for a major after-school education program. As [more]

I did well enough when I took the PSAT to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship semi finals. I have worked successfully with a number of students preparing for the PSAT. I also have several books giving practice tests and reviewing the knowledge areas needed to do well on the test. Taking a practice pre-test and another one at the end of tutoring helps to see what areas need the most work and progress made during the tutoring. It helps to advance confidence and reduce the stress level when taking the actual exam. [more]

Hello! I have had such a great time tutoring and teaching hundreds of students over the last 15 years, and I would love the chance to work with you. Learning can be fun, learning should be fun, and learning IS fun. After tutoring elementary, middle school, and high school students while I was in high school and college, I taught middle school mathematics from 2002-2006. This was my approach: understanding "why" math works is just as important as learning "how" to do math problems successf... [more]
