Throughout my education, I've sought ways to teach. As an undergraduate, I was a teaching assistant for programming and mechanical design, and I tutored other students. After finishing my Bachelor's, I taught math and engineering at an elite private high school. I enjoy finding the clearest way to explain an idea or concept, and engaging with students who are eager to learn. I push students to learn on their own by asking guiding questions and asking them to explain their understanding of ... [more]

Python has been my primary development language for 12+ years. Ryan has a PhD in physics from UC Davis, and currently researches there. While in grad school, he taught physics 7A, 7B, and 7C. He has extensive experience tutoring physics courses ranging from AP Physics through upper division courses, in addition to math from algebra through differential equations and both programming and theory a computer science classes. He emphasizes intuition in his teaching. Please contact him to find out if he can help you.... [more]

I'm a Python programmer since 2009. I used for my Masters in Computer Science, for my PhD in Bioinformatics and I'm still using for my work. I have developed complex programs with Python using: - Django - NumPy - SciPy - matplotlib I'm a Data Scientist with a background in Computer Science (BSc and MSc in Computer Science, and PhD in Bioinformatics). I have been a Python and R Programmer since 2009 and I have experience both as a Computer Science lecturer and as a Data Scientist. I use Python/R every day for my data analysis work. I can help you with Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, etc., f [more]

I did Python programming from 2002 to 2005. Recently, for a consulting job, I also used Python. I have studied mathematical and statistical libraries of NumPy and SciPy which are extensions standard Python libraries. I also advised a student on Python I have a Ph.D. in Math, and taught math and applied math and worked in the industry in applied math for over twenty years. I have tutored in Calculus , Vector Calculus, Linear Algebra, Statistics, Probability, Discrete Math and Differential Equations and Physics. My students testify that I explain concepts and techniques very clearly. [more]

I'm a fun, passionate, and patient person who loves teaching. I love to learn new things and to see my students understand concepts and apply them on their own. I have a PhD (and an MS) in Computer Science from Purdue University, and a BS in Computer Engineering from University of Puerto Rico. I have been tutoring Math, Verbal (English), and Spanish, for a nonprofit for over a year. I usually do a one-on-one tutoring there, but I have also done some Math and Verbal tutoring for groups of up ... [more]

I've worked in the computer industry developing in Python and managing a team working on Python for several years. I am knowledgeable in Python 2.x and 3.x. I've also taught Python to youths aged 10 and above. Hello. I worked in the software industry for more than 20 years both in large enterprises such as Cisco and Siemens as well as in startups. In the past, I also mentored and tutored underprivileged kids at a group home project and children shelter. I love seeing how excited students get when they have that "Ah ha!" moment and really start to get it. My specialties are in all thing [more]

I am using Python at work for data science projects. It was the language of choice during my recent Certificate in data science course at UC Irvine. I have taught at different levels over the years, starting with helping middle school students to High school and also BS computer Science students at California State University East Bay. I have a Master's in Computer Science and Bachelor's in Computer engineering. I like to teach students from the ground up for the long run so covering important gaps in thought process is more important right now then say write a cool app where the basic fundame [more]

As a data scientist, I use Python every day as my primary programming language. I am a Data Scientist (Machine Learning Architect). I received my PhD in Bioengineering from UC-Berkeley/UCSF (jointly) and have BS and MS degrees in electrical and control engineering. I offer tutoring and homework/project help for undergrad and grad level courses in areas such as math, statistics, data science (machine learning, deep learning, big data, etc). I have a full time job and don't depend on tutoring income. Consequently, I only take one or two students at a time and dedicate my ... [more]

Python is a popular choice for a first programming language to learn because it's syntax is relatively flexible an uncluttered. That said, its still tricky getting your bearings with the basics including variables, loops, collections, functions, and I/O. You are capable of learning these things! I teach with patience and zero judgement because I know that getting early programs to run is one of the most frustrating experiences a computer scientist can have. We will work together, and I will build your comfort to the point that you can write code on your own, and understand how to answer exam q [more]
