Hi, my name is Ruben. I am a native Spaniard, and I have been living in San Ramon for the past 19 years. While attending college, I became a tutor, helping other students enjoy and understand Math and Computer Science subjects. After graduating with honors, I have worked for a few of the best known IT companies in the Bay Area, but I've never forgotten my link to teaching. I'm looking forward to helping you understand and love that specific subject you seem to be having a little trouble wi... [more]

I started learning Python from an online course from Rice University 4 years ago. The syntax was very easy to write compared to most other programming languages. Although at first I would only use it for writing data analysis scripts, I eventually started using it as the preferred language to tutor for Computer Science. Now, I've written an entire curriculum framework for a High School AP Computer Science Principles class with an emphasis on using Python, along with several customized code lessons I share with my students, but you have to hire me to get access to them :) [more]

I'm a fun, passionate, and patient person who loves teaching. I love to learn new things and to see my students understand concepts and apply them on their own. I have a PhD (and an MS) in Computer Science from Purdue University, and a BS in Computer Engineering from University of Puerto Rico. I have been tutoring Math, Verbal (English), and Spanish, for a nonprofit for over a year. I usually do a one-on-one tutoring there, but I have also done some Math and Verbal tutoring for groups of up ... [more]

I have been using Python for coding and solving complex problems for the past 10 years. Python is an object-oriented and high-level programming language which is very attractive for rapid application development. I have been working with several Python modules and packages such as NumPy, matplotlib, sklearn, nltk, and Scipy. I am familiar with developing most machine learning algorithms in Python. As an Electrical Engineer in the Wireless industry, I specialize in different programming languages such as Python, C, C++, and JavaScript. I am also proficient in engineering software packages such [more]

Python has been my primary development language for 12+ years. Ryan has a PhD in physics from UC Davis, and currently researches there. While in grad school, he taught physics 7A, 7B, and 7C. He has extensive experience tutoring physics courses ranging from AP Physics through upper division courses, in addition to math from algebra through differential equations and both programming and theory a computer science classes. He emphasizes intuition in his teaching. Please contact him to find out if he can help you.... [more]

I've been using Python professionally and personally for a half dozen years now (especially the Python data stack (numpy, pandas, etc. plus flask)),; it is one of my favorite languages to program in and probably my favorite language to teach. Many of my students are Python programmers (or programmers-to-be), and in a very short time can write meaningful programs. Python is fun. I have 15+ years experience as an active software professional in the Bay Area, working on the full stack (from the front end to the back end to the database), in addition to building/hiring software teams and providin [more]

I did Python programming from 2002 to 2005. Recently, for a consulting job, I also used Python. I have studied mathematical and statistical libraries of NumPy and SciPy which are extensions standard Python libraries. I also advised a student on Python I have a Ph.D. in Math, and taught math and applied math and worked in the industry in applied math for over twenty years. I have tutored in Calculus , Vector Calculus, Linear Algebra, Statistics, Probability, Discrete Math and Differential Equations and Physics. My students testify that I explain concepts and techniques very clearly. [more]

My professional job requires proficiency in python. I have been using Python for data analysis and machine learning algorithms since 2014. I write code in Python for a few hours on a daily basis. I have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University. I have been employed in the tech industry in the bay area for over 10 years. I have a technical background with emphasis in Problem solving and Math. I have used this knowledge to develop algorithms related to human speech, audio, images and now, biomedical signals. Matlab had been my official playing field for the de [more]

Hi! I have a BS in Mathematics and a BA in linguistics. I'm now a PhD student studying Psychology. I love tutoring in my spare time. I've been a teaching assistant for calculus, computer science, and psychology classes at UCSD and Stanford. I have excellent reviews from my sections and office hours. I love meeting new people and can meet in person or online.... [more]

Throughout my education, I've sought ways to teach. As an undergraduate, I was a teaching assistant for programming and mechanical design, and I tutored other students. After finishing my Bachelor's, I taught math and engineering at an elite private high school. I enjoy finding the clearest way to explain an idea or concept, and engaging with students who are eager to learn. I push students to learn on their own by asking guiding questions and asking them to explain their understanding of ... [more]
