I have been tutoring students studying for Regents in NY for 5 years. My bachelors in Biology, coupled with all of the requirements I took, enabled me to tutor many different Regents exams. The Integrated Algebra Regents goes over the topics of the algebra 1, statistics, probability, and the very basic geometry ideas of area and perimeter. The Geometry Regents goes over the topics of geometry (constructions, loci, triangle and circle proofs, and transformations). The Algebra 2/Trig Regents contains the topics of algebra 2, probability, statistics, and trigonometry. I have gone through the subject tests on all these different topics covered by the math regents, and have tutored these parts in the past for students through WyzAnt. These pieces come together as an entire regents r [more]

I am only familiar with the New York State Regents examination in English which has been administered to eleventh grade students. The test there has been pared down from a six-hour, two-day exam to one session of three hours. Finally NYS realized the previous decades of that test were overkill. The NYS Regents is a test of thinking, analyzing, and presenting in written format an evidence-based argument on a given topic about which they read three or four articles. I am a retired educator who has taught English for 27 years. Most of that time was having fun teaching English to middle school [more]

I passed the Regents while in high school, and received over 90 on each one. This score enabled me to receive a gold embossed Regents diploma. Additionally, I tutored other students on how to take and pass the Regents. I worked at ETS (Educational Testing Service) for many years, so I know a thing or two about testing. I am well-versed in the intricacies of high stakes tests like the Praxis, SAT, and the ACT. I not only know and understand the subject matter, but I know the ins and outs of how to take and beat any test. Knowing how to beat a test is a skill, and when you take the ACT and Pr [more]
