As a tutor at a local tutoring agency, I have often helped students understand the strategies necessary to excel on SAT Math section. I will help students identify the type of question, come up with a strategy, and see patterns in number sets. Most importantly, I provide real practice both in class and for homework that the student can use to master the test. Prepare for the New SAT with a tutor who knows the test. The SAT Math test covers: Numbers and operations; algebra and functions; Geometry and measurement; and Data analysis, statistics, and probability. I have taught high school math as well as tutored extensively in areas ranging from algebra, geometry, and trigonometry up through pre-calculus. Getting a good score, even a GREAT score, on the SAT is just a matter of being very familiar with actually a very limited set of mathematical concepts. I quickly determine where my students are getting "stuck" and then work on gaining mastery of those areas. Math can actually be fun! [more]

SAT covers all levels of high school math. I have spent three years covering all of these topics and prepping seniors for their SAT, because of this I am able to assist with catching up lost skills. I took the SAT twice so I have experience with the type of questions asked and how to approach each one. I graduated from UNCW with my B.A. in mathematics. I am using this degree to obtain a position as a high school math teacher. I have been employed by New Hanover County Schools for over three years as well as privately tutoring at middle and high school and select college courses for four years. [more]

I have had students who had low self-esteem and poor grades completely turn their schooling experience around and outperform some of my high-achievers.
