I have a great deal of experience both with the SAT material itself and teaching this material to high school students preparing for college. The main thing to be gained from test prep tutoring is a plan of attack specific to the test. I present strategies for the SAT to my students and to personalize the methods to their needs. I am also very well versed in the arithmetic, algebra, geometry and reasoning tested by the SAT and can review this with students as needed. As a note, effective test prep takes time, so I recommend starting early. I warn my prospective students that the gains to be m [more]

Hi, I hold a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, so I have to know quite a bit of math and science for me to do well in my current job! I tutor on the side to keep up with my skills and to fulfill my passion for teaching. I am extremely passionate about math and science (especially chemistry in science, but I enjoy biology as well), and although I am not studying it, I am quite good at and love history, writing, and reading. I especially adore English grammar - in fact, I proofread sc... [more]

Hello! A little info about me... I love to teach! It's as simple (and challenging) as that. I truly love to share that love through teaching and my specialty is tutoring algebra through college level calculus. Oooh, I just love to teach trig and calculus! I also love to help peop... [more]

Childhood is a journey, not a race. I've taught in the classroom for ten years, have tutored for the last 13+ years, and in-between worked as a computer programmer/scientist for a number of years. My tutoring/teaching approach has always been to make learning FUN. I begin the process by determinin... [more]
