Hello! A little info about me... I love to teach! It's as simple (and challenging) as that. As a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program at Northern Kentucky University, and a published co-author of a journal entry to The Journal of Ethnomathematics, I love all levels of math! I truly love to share that love through teaching and my specialty is tutoring algebra through college level calculus. Oooh, I just love to teach trig and calculus! I also love to help peop... [more]

I have a great deal of experience both with the SAT material itself and teaching this material to high school students preparing for college. The main thing to be gained from test prep tutoring is a plan of attack specific to the test. I present strategies for the SAT to my students and to personalize the methods to their needs. I am also very well versed in the arithmetic, algebra, geometry and reasoning tested by the SAT and can review this with students as needed. As a note, effective test prep takes time, so I recommend starting early. I warn my prospective students that the gains to be m [more]

Childhood is a journey, not a race. With that said, I am anxious to tutor, especially math, and if somewhere along this journey one or more steps have been missed, then we will work together to catch up. That's where I can help! I've taught in the classroom for ten years, have tutored for the last 13+ years, and in-between worked as a computer programmer/scientist for a number of years. My tutoring/teaching approach has always been to make learning FUN. I begin the process by determinin... [more]

As a child, I loved and excelled in math. I went on to college to major in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. I also have a Master's Degree in Statistics and Mathematics. I have been tutoring all high school math, including AP Calculus, for over 20 years. I love interacting with students. The greatest reward is watching them truly get a concept and actually enjoy the process of doing math. I am proud that some of my students have gone on to major in math in college! My studen... I am an engineer in the automotive business. I received my Bachelors in Industrial Engineering after serving six years in the Navy as a nuclear trained machinist mate on a nuclear powered submarine. I have tutored during my undergraduate studies and off and on during my career as an engineer. The main reason I enjoy tutoring is seeing the "light bulb" go off when a student truly understands a lesson. It is very rewarding. I am capable of helping in any math or science discipline up to an... [more]

Hi, I hold a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, so I have to know quite a bit of math and science for me to do well in my current job! I tutor on the side to keep up with my skills and to fulfill my passion for teaching. I am extremely passionate about math and science (especially chemistry in science, but I enjoy biology as well), and although I am not studying it, I am quite good at and love history, writing, and reading. I especially adore English grammar - in fact, I proofread sc... [more]
