The SAT is a test that with some simple techniques and practice of specific aspects of high school math content students can improve their scores and their appeal to prospective colleges. I will help students identify and address their mathematical issues on the SAT. As a math education specialist, I work well with many different types of students from middle school through adult. I received an 800 on the Math SAT. Additionally, I have been trained in the new SAT and work with Boston Scholar Athletes to teach SAT Prep courses at public schools all over the Boston area. In 4 years of High School, 4 years of College, and 2 years of Graduate School, I learned innumerable things about a wide variety of topics, but the most important lesson I learned was this: the students who get A's are not necessarily the most naturally gifted in the class, but are the almost always the hardest workers. Sooner or later, everyone finds themselves struggling to stay on top of their classwor [more]

Filling in content-gaps is the first and best strategy. Time management skills are just as important. I will break up practice tests into smaller timed chunks to get you, or your child, to know how to work at a good pace. I will then look at the incorrect answers and discuss the content in a narrative that teaches the person how to do and understand similar problems. Other strategies will be discussed along the way as we go. "Do not worry about your difficulties in Mathematics. I can assure you mine are still greater." - Albert Einstein Looking for a math oracle?
