I have over 10 years of experience tutoring various subjects and have worked at least five years preparing students for entrance exams, ranging from SAT and ACT to GRE and ISEE. Instead of simply teaching students how to "trick" the test, I teach the concepts that are integral to a good score and success once admitted into the intended program of study. I have over ten years of experience as a tutor, working at various universities, companies, and even privately. I provide tutoring in subjects ranging from elementary math to Calculus, earth science to chemistry, grammar to essay writing, and f [more]

I passed the math portion of the SAT exam with a score of 700 before entering college 30 years ago. I have since helped several students prepare for this college entrance exam. I worked in the BYU Math Lab to pay my way through college where I earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in mathematics. I have even published a book and software package used by several universities in numerical analysis [more]

Prevent summer "brain drain"! Help your child get a head start on 2014-2015 school year by previewing their next math class. Their math skills will be challenged as they first review the math from the class they took in 2013-2014 that they will need for the upcoming school year. We will then preview the new material that they will be required to master in their next class. I use the step approach so the students have a road map for where they are going and how to get there as the journey... [more]

I taught an SAT class during the year for 2 years and 2 sessions of summer school. I love seeing students when they not only figure out the math but the shortcuts to the verbal parts too. For the math part of the SAT, I worked with all of my Geometry students on a daily basis. It was so rewarding to see the students achieve better scores. I taught Algebra 1, Honors Geometry and Regular Geometry for 34 years. I always wanted to help students since I was in High School. I started tutoring fellow students in high school and continued in college. I graduated from Texas A & M with a BS in Physica [more]

Hello, My name is Lauryn and I am a recent graduate from Oklahoma State University. Given the right approach and the proper encouragement, I thoroughly believe that anyone can excel in the subject of math and even develop a love for it. As part of my educa... [more]
