Hi Guys, My name is Sanjay. I am a current master's level graduate student who majored in physics at Pacific Union College. I have a very genuine passion for teaching and helping students learn. As cliche as it sounds, I really find joy in helping others better understand concepts or just help them learn something new. I am very patient, kind, hard-working, and have great communication skills. I do my best to guide my students towards, not only the right answer, but the correct thought proce... [more]

I can help you prepare for the Math portion of the SAT by finding relationships in a set of numbers (e.g., which number comes next in the sequence) and working with fractions and decimals, area, volume, proportions, solving equations, and much more, as well as test-taking strategies and tips. Dear prospective students and parents, I've taught Math and English for 4 years and am a credentialed teacher in California. I have tutored numerous students with other tutoring agencies, and I enjoy helping them succeed. I find that working one-on-one with students fosters relationships and often provi [more]

I have nearly a decade of professional experience teaching SAT math test prep. I am expert at teaching the exam's math content along with practical and effective test-taking strategies. For students dedicated to a more structured program of study, I create an individualized, goal-oriented plan, complete with periodic practice exams to monitor progress. My methods deliver dramatic score increases. Dozens of my students have boosted their math scores well into the 700s and, of course, I've had the pleasure of helping create perfect 800 scorers. Regularly scheduled lessons over weeks or months [more]

Hello potential tutees! I'm a 28 year old certified math teacher. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering in 2008. My major required a broad-range of higher level mathematics and science courses. While an undergrad, I started tutoring for a small, private tutoring company. I tutored in subjects ranging from Physics to Calculus. One of my students was even accepted to Stanford! This is my fifth year teaching mathematics in the classroo... [more]

I have studied mathematics and physics for nearly 6 years now, and I have tutored both of these subjects for nearly 5 years. My experience with both learning and teaching math and physics has taught me how to solve questions quickly. This skill is perhaps the most important for getting a high score on the math section of the SAT's. With this skill in mind I have learned how to produce practice problems that can test a student's ability to solve questions quickly. I have always enjoyed tutoring. I first started tutoring at Crafton Hills College in the tutoring center there. I loved getting to [more]

SAT math boils down to algebra and geometry, both of which I have tutored before. If you can understand algebra, you can also figure out much of geometry and vice versa. Algebra is written geometry and geometry is algebra in picture form, so they tell me. Considering my high scores on both math and standardized tests in general, SAT math is really no problem for me. I began tutoring roughly in 2008. Math and a little chemistry though math is my stronger subject by far. I've had clients most of the time since then and each student has their own personality and their own challenges. There's noth [more]

I love learning and sharing knowledge. I was top of my high school class and graduated at magna cum laude level. While in college, I worked full-time and eventually served 15 years in the local public school system as a master computer specialist/K-12 instructor. I've actually "retired" from 3 careers, the others being a classical pianist/piano teacher and a tournament chess player. Now I am a pharmacist as well as a successful financial writer. I offer my expertise from most basic scienc... [more]
