Teaching math is my passion! I strive to have math make sense to all of my students. I began my teaching career in Atlanta, Georgia, where I taught Accelerated Math II (Geometry and Algebra II) and Accelerated Math III (Algebra II and Pre-Calculus), Analytic Geometry, Honors and on level Advanced Algebra. Hello! I am currently an undergraduate student at Yale University, working towards a major in Electrical Engineering. I have taken a variety of Math and Science classes at the University, through calculus and linear algebra and chemistry. I am a strong believer that STEM subjects are best learned one on one, through sets of problems that reinforce the concepts taught in class. I also know that learning is most productive when the subject and instructor are engaging, and have learned from worl... [more]

I've tutored several students for the SAT Math section before, and I've seen major improvement. I view the SAT Math Section as "tricky," rather than "difficult." My main strategy to improving my students' SAT Math scores is to identify their areas needing improvement and to work together to strengthen them. By improving upon my own weak areas, I was able to score a 770 on the SAT Math section. I am confident that my students' SAT Math scores can improve as well. Hello, all! I'm a current Senior studying Economics, Managerial Studies, and Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at Rice University. I am [more]

The way I got into teaching was my community needed math and science volunteers to help local high-schoolers pass exit exams. Once I started tutoring for exit exams, the need arose for ACT and SAT tutoring for students who were going to college. My experience as a chemistry teacher along with over twenty years tutoring in math equips me for SAT Math as well as ACT Math and ACT Science tutoring. When tutoring is done consistently, high scores can be mastered on both tests. For example, after weekly sessions during the summer, one student scored a 1390 on the SAT and was able to get into the col [more]
