I have prepared students for the math SATs in the past and am very familiar with the type of questions on the test as well as the test format. This allows me to pass along problem solving and test taking strategies. I have a love of learning and a passion for teaching! I hold a B.S. in biology and have completed extensive coursework in chemistry and physics as well. I scored in the top 5% in the math section of the SAT and the GRE, and the top 10% in the verbal section of those tests. Of course, intelligence alone does not a good teacher make. I am a firm believer that any subject can be ac [more]

I have over 25 years experience as a math teacher and tutor. Simply put, I love working with students, both in a classroom setting and one-on-one as a tutor. I enjoy explaining things and the challenge of trying to make complicated topics simpler or at least understandable. For me, it's very satisfying to see a student finally get something they've been struggling with for a while, to experience that moment when something clicks and becomes clear. Although I certainly like working with st... [more]
