Regardless of how you might feel about standardized testing, the SATs are a real part of the college application process. In addition to knowing the material backwards and forwards, part of doing your best on the SATs is knowing how to take the exam. Working from a review book, Michal will take your child through the chapters, one by one, and explain the concepts as they arise. She takes a very relaxed approach in order to minimize the stress that naturally comes along with this important exam. [more]

SAT Math is tested in 3 sections of the SAT. Most of the questions are multiple choice, and a few are free-response grid-in questions. The SAT tests skills in arithmetic, number theory, algebra and geometry. Unlike the ACT, many of the most-used formulas are printed right on the test booklet, so students need to do less memorization. I can help students re-learn those math skills that are weak, or have been forgotten, and I can teach them test-taking strategies and shortcuts to optimize their math scores. [more]

I've achieved a perfect score on the Math portion of the SAT in the past. I am a Junior at Tufts University (major: Electrical Engineering) currently taking time off from school. My main area of expertise is mathematics for standardized tests (e.g.: SAT, SAT II, ACT) as well as for general high school courses. When I work with students, I aim to keep them engaged and challenged, and I try to teach in a manner that encourages genuine comprehension as opposed to memorization or cramming. Previous experience in education/tutoring: For the majority of my second ... [more]
