SAT Math is tested in 3 sections of the SAT. Most of the questions are multiple choice, and a few are free-response grid-in questions. The SAT tests skills in arithmetic, number theory, algebra and geometry. Unlike the ACT, many of the most-used formulas are printed right on the test booklet, so students need to do less memorization.
