On Saturday mornings during SAT and ACT season, I present seminars at Phoenix-area high schools to help prepare students for these tests. I have insight into the kinds of questions these tests frequently ask, the most-tested content, and time management strategies. I have always excelled in mathematics. I scored 780 on SAT Math and 790 on GRE Quantitative (maximum score of 800 for each test). Getting good ACT/SAT scores depends on using good test-taking strategies! I am especially good at helping students take complex test questions and make them into simpler questions, so that they can reaso [more]

I got my undergraduate degrees in physics and economics and my doctor of naturopathic medicine degree from SCNM. I currently teach anatomy and physiology. I believe that a good tutor gets to know their student and understands what THEIR problems are and attends to them instead of just trying to hammer all the concepts into their head. In my experience, even the most abstract mathematical or ... [more]

Dear Student, I am a retired psychiatrist, journalist, and educator with an extensive international experience. After having brought not only my seven children but also numerous students to the joy of knowledge for knowledge's sake, I wish to share some of my experience with students who might feel lost. I believe all children are born gifted. Traditional education stunts and sometimes kills a child's inborn curiosity and love of learning. A teacher is not a walking encyclopedia (e... [more]
