Hi! My name is Hailee and I recently graduated from Georgia Tech. I studied biomedical engineering with a minor in chemistry. I took 16 advanced placement classes in high school and graduated second in my class. I passed all of my AP classes including calculus 1 & 2, physics, chemistry, biology, psychology, English, and all of the histories. In college, I took an immense amount of science and math, which I am very passionate about. I also scored very high on my ACT and SAT and I feel that I ... [more]

My degree is in Statistics and I spent 32 years at IRS conducting various research projects---10 years as a mathematical statistician and 22 years as a research manager. My expertise is in 2 areas: 1) statistical analysis (from simple stats like averages, confidence intervals, & t-tests to more complex stats like ANOVA & factor and cluster analysis); and, 2) statistical modeling (primarily regression and discriminant analysis). Currently, as an independent contractor, I teach statistical analysis and modeling and data mining for IBM. [more]

I am currently working as an Environmental Engineer for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Atlanta. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the University of Florida (GO GATORS) as well as a Master of Science in Bioengineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (GO YELLOW JACKETS). Unlike many engineers, I actually have a sense of humor and so I make learning fun and interesting. Also, I pay close attention to details and so a nonchala... [more]

Over the past few years, I have helped numerous math students raise failing grades to A's, tackling everything from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus. Factoring problems? I'm your man. Don't understand congruence proofs? I can help. Over-intimidated by trigonometric identities? I've got you covered. I always try to help my students understand new concepts in terms of those with which they are already familiar. I patiently break down new formulas and processes until they look like familia... I am a PhD student in epidemiology (a subject with a statistics foundation) and am proficient in high school/college statistics up through Probability Theory. Finding the right tutor for your student who is struggling in school can be an enormous challenge. A tutor isn't just a teacher who presents information all over again after school. A tutor must understand the way a student thinks and present the material in a way that makes learning it easy and straightforward. I think my very best skills are in chemistry and math, so while I'm happy to help anyone in any subject I am qualified to teac [more]

Hey everybody! I am Aris and I am originally from Washington D.C. I moved to Atlanta a couple of years back to be with my wife who is teaching at Spelman. I am currently an assistant professor of mathematics at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Georgia. I have been teaching classes for about 18 years and tutoring for about 22 years. I started pretty young and still remember how it is to be a student and struggle in math classes. I have taught about every math course during my ... [more]

Hi! I'm currently a PhD student in Physics at Georgia State University. I have huge experience teaching and tutoring students from elementary through undergrad level for about 10 years. I have done excellent in math and find algebra, calculus and trigonometry stress-relieving. I think I can transfer my enthusiasm for math to my tutees with the development of fun stories to make learning math less boring. I can also help with introduction to statistics and GRE/SAT quantitative part. I have b... [more]

Three journal publications related to statistics More than 10 years in AP subjects. I have been a tutor for decade-long since I graduated from my high school as an SAT Math, SAT Math/Physic subject, and AP Calc/Physics/Chemistry tutor for high school junior/senior students. When I got into Georgia Tech, I had a great opportunity to serve as a Chinese freshman instructor for a year long during my junior year, in which I learn how to manage the big class and how to effectively deliver lectures. In last three years, since I got into the Aerospace PhD program at Georgia Tech,... [more]
