I have taken one undergraduate and three graduate-level statistics courses, ranging from basic statistics (descriptive statistics, student t-test, linear regression, and nonparametric tests) to advanced multiple regression techniques (multivariate regression, logistic regression, splines, ANCOVA, etc.), time series analysis, and spatial statistics. I frequently use ANOVA, ANCOVA, multiple regression, Poisson regression, logistic regression, time series analysis, and spatial analysis in the course of my own research. [more]

I have been tutoring basic business statistics at a local school for almost 15 years, including such topics as descriptive statistics, bionomials, basic probabilities, normal distributions (z & t scores, hypothesis testing, proportions). I am also somewhat familiar with beta tests, Chi-square, F test, and the like. (Please note that I did not learn these topics using a statistics calculator or Excel, though I can still help with understanding and interpreting the material, and I have used Excel for some things.) Hello! My name is Emma. I graduated from Miami University in 2017 with two degrees: one in Music Education and one in Mathematics/Statistics. That's right, I can teach you to do math AND to play the saxophone. Since graduating, I have completed student teaching for music education where I taught band for grades 5-12 and tutored for math on the side. This past semester, I gained employment as a high school math teacher/tutor. I find tutoring the most fulfilling part of teaching both mus... [more]

The math involved in statistics is mostly beginning and intermediate algebra, but the concepts themselves can be difficult to grasp. One of the most important ideas to understand in a statistics problem is that the numerical "answer" is only half of the solution. The interpretation of that result is just as important. I have tutored students taking various statistics courses for two years. During that time, I have developed easy way to learn the empirical formula, confidence interval estimates, and other common topics found in a statistics class. [more]

I have experience tutoring a number of math subjects including stats at the college level. Hello, My name is Joshua, and if I had to pick three words to describe myself, they would be: Motivated, Personable, Professional. I have three degrees, two of which are psychology specific. I can, however, tutor in a multitude of subjects and have done so for many years while attending Wright State University and Sinclair Community College. These subjects include but are not limited to: Math (Algebra-general, college, Statistics, Geometry, Basic); Science (Biology, Chemistry, Computer, Psy... [more]
