Hi Students, I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from UC Davis and I earned my MBA in Finance at CSU Hayward (East Bay). While I was at UC Davis, I placed 2nd in the Undergraduate Mathematics Exam and represented UC Davis in both the Putnam International Mathematics Competition and in the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Western Regional programming competition. While I love working as a consultant (more on that in a subsequent paragraph), I also really enjoy math and ha... [more]

I am a researcher working at a university. I earned a PhD degree in biology. Because I love math and statistics, I pursued a Master's degree in Applied Statistics from Michigan State University. One of the courses required for the Master's degree is Linear Algebra. Besides the theories and mathematical models that I learned from the classes, I have many years' practical experience in designing, collecting, and analyzing real-world data. I love tutoring Math and Statistics. I ... [more]

I took AP Stats in high school. I also took elementary, business and applied Econ statistics. I applied a lot of it in my professional life and in research. Learning has always been a passion in my life. Academic learning, life experience, motivational books. Just name it. I have helped and tutored grade levels from elementary to college, where I majored in Chemical Engineering. I took time to understand concepts and extended these understandings to different subjects. I took AP science, math, history and social science courses in high school and continued my intellectual pursuits in college. [more]

Hi everyone! A little bit about me: I graduated Magna Cum Laude (Pre-med) from California State University Bakersfield. I majored in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry and recently graduated from the PA/MPH program at Touro University California. My experience: I have tutored previous students on here as well as tutoring some of my fellow classmates throughout college. I specialize in Biological sciences and can also help you if you are applying to PA school. I also was a TA in the Che... [more]

I have taken courses as an undergraduate and graduate student at CU in applied statistics, probability and mathematical (theoretical) statistics. In high school I loved science, math, debate and music; I studied Applied Mathematics in college. I just finished my Masters and I'm gearing up to start a PhD in fall '17. For the year, I am tutoring full time to pay down student loans, and because I love the work. I tutored privately in high school. As an undergraduate, I tutored for CU's Student Academic Services programs as well as taking courses with the education department to formalize my te [more]

I have taught and tutored students in statistics for eight years, and can explain even the most complicated statistical concepts simply, clearly, and effectively. For example, my five current statistics students each came to me feeling very confused. But after a session or two, each one knows what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how to do it; it all makes sense. By the end of our time together, the most frequent comment I get is, "Wow, statistics is really easy." Hi, my name is Dave. I have tutored hundreds of students. Although many came to me afraid of math, most of them le [more]

For my Bachelor's of Science Applied Statistics degree at UC Davis I earned an outstanding performance citation for my 3.97 major GPA. I have a moderate amount of experience with R, and I've tutored over 20 students in AP statistics and college statistics. I earned an A in the following classes in college: Elementary Statistics (STA 13), Non-parametric Statistics (STA 104), Regression Analysis (STA 108), Analysis of Variance (STA 106), Brief Mathematical Statistics 1 (STA 130A), Time Series Analysis (STA 137), Categorical Data Analysis (STA 138), Statistical Computing (STA 141), Sampling the [more]

I am a recent graduate of Johns Hopkins University. My major was in physics and I have minors in Math and Entrepreneurship and Management. I am dedicated to helping other students achieve their academic goals. My tutoring experience previously has been with students between the ages of 12-17 although I am open to working with both students that are younger or older. I have in class teaching experience for college age students. I have previous tutoring experience in geometry and pre al... [more]
