I hold a bachelor's degree in Statistics from UC Davis and have taught both high school AP Statistics and lower division College Statistics. In the last year I have also tutored upper division College Statistics, such as Analysis of Variance and Regression. I assist my students with using the TI calculators and R programming to complete their work. My students have achieved great success in their Statistics classes and have left wonderful feedback on my WyzAnt profile. I am a credentialed math and statistics teacher, with a Masters degree in Math Education and a Bachelors degree in Statisti [more]

I have taken courses as an undergraduate and graduate student at CU in applied statistics, probability and mathematical (theoretical) statistics. In high school I loved science, math, debate and music; I studied Applied Mathematics in college. I just finished my Masters and I'm gearing up to start a PhD in fall '17. For the year, I am tutoring full time to pay down student loans, and because I love the work. I tutored privately in high school. As an undergraduate, I tutored for CU's Student Academic Services programs as well as taking courses with the education department to formalize my te [more]

I can help with numerical and descriptive measures; probability theory; discrete and continuous distributions, including binomial, Poisson, and normal distributions; sampling distributions; confidence interval estimation; hypothesis-testing and one-sample and two-sample tests; inference for proportions; linear regression; multiple regression; analysis of variance; using Excel or R for statistics. I have more than 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I am patient and make learning fun and easy. My formal education includes a bachelor's degree in Math from the University of Chicago [more]

Hi Students, I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from UC Davis and I earned my MBA in Finance at CSU Hayward (East Bay). While I was at UC Davis, I placed 2nd in the Undergraduate Mathematics Exam and represented UC Davis in both the Putnam International Mathematics Competition and in the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Western Regional programming competition. While I love working as a consultant (more on that in a subsequent paragraph), I also really enjoy math and ha... [more]

I have taught and tutored students in statistics for eight years, and can explain even the most complicated statistical concepts simply, clearly, and effectively. For example, my five current statistics students each came to me feeling very confused. But after a session or two, each one knows what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how to do it; it all makes sense. By the end of our time together, the most frequent comment I get is, "Wow, statistics is really easy." Hi, my name is Dave. I have tutored hundreds of students. Although many came to me afraid of math, most of them le [more]

Hello, My name is Brian and I graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. I have taken pretty much every core math class from Algebra to Vector Calculus. I have always excelled in math and during high school I found that I am also pretty good a teaching it to others. I have been a tutor on this site for almost 2 years now. I have helped students at all levels, but a majority of my students have been in high school or college. I tutored a bit... [more]

I am a recent graduate of UC Davis, now with a BS in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology. I love tutoring, and have done it before for many subjects, including Chemistry, Math, and so on. Back in high school, and throughout college, I worked as a tutor, helping high school students study for the SATs as well as AP/IB tests. I also tutored many people through the introductory courses in chemistry, math, and biology for other students at UC Davis. Math can be a daunting subject, but I like breaki... [more]

I received my Bachelor's Degree in mathematics and statistics with a minor in computer science from Harvard. I will begin my PhD in statistics at U.C. Berkeley in the Fall. I have over 6 years of tutoring experience at Harvard and in Davis in mathematics (pre-algebra, algebra, calculus, multivariable calculus, linear algebra, etc.) and statistics. I have taken numerous mathematics and statistics courses at both U.C. Davis and Harvard including abstract algebra, number theory, complex analysi... [more]

I took AP Stats in high school. I also took elementary, business and applied Econ statistics. I applied a lot of it in my professional life and in research. Learning has always been a passion in my life. Academic learning, life experience, motivational books. Just name it. I have helped and tutored grade levels from elementary to college, where I majored in Chemical Engineering. I took time to understand concepts and extended these understandings to different subjects. I took AP science, math, history and social science courses in high school and continued my intellectual pursuits in college. [more]
