I've taught Introductory Statistics and Probability classes several times at two different local universities! I, too, was AFRAID of statistics until I taught it -- it's totally do-able -- not to mention INTERESTING! Honestly, statistics is an area that every good citizen should be getting themselves educated in! So That You Cannot Be Fooled By Statistics Ever Again! I hold two master's degrees -- one in applied mathematics, one in physics. I started teaching math in 1999. While many of the intervening years saw me as a part-time adjunct instructor of mathematics, I did enjoy a full-time appoi [more]

I've taken graduate level statistics and taught undergrad stats to various students. I also use basic statistical methods in my current job. I recently graduated from Georgia Tech where I studied Aerospace Engineering. I worked for 2 years as a tutor and teacher's assistant for physics and math classes. In high school, I helped many people with the more elementary math and science classes that are required to do well in college. My style is generally laid back. I like to see how much students actually know and build his or her confidence while enhancing knowledge on the given material. I like [more]

I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a minor in Education. I was a Geometry teacher this past year. I loved teaching/helping/mentoring/disciplining my students/children. I decided to leave the teaching world for multiple reasons. A few reasons were because it's really stressful, time consuming (roughly 70 hour weeks I dedicated), and I realized I was only passionate about my students (not anything else related to teaching). I am currently tutoring three students, substituting, an... [more]
