My extensive math training and skills allows me to understand the mathematics behind statistics. My extensive experience teaching college students about science and the application of mathematics allows me to help students understand the most difficult concepts and solve the most difficult problems. I can help you understand and use Chemistry, Physics, Physical Chemistry, Math, Statistics, Multimedia Instructional Content, Adobe CC, Microsoft Office, Blackboard Learn, Web Services, and Cloud Storage. -- Why Do I Want to Help You, Other Students, and Teachers with all this Stuff? I have two degrees with majors in statistics - one a BSBA from UIC and the other an MBA from the University of Chicago. Altogether, I have taken more than 20 courses in statistics at both the undergraduate and graduate level. One of the courses, in econometrics, was at the PhD level. I have used statistical software for these courses, but I am most comfortable with use of either M.S. Excel or Minitab. I am not proficient at the use of SPSS, although I have used it somewhat. If you need heavy use of SPSS in your course, it would be best if you found another tutor who is much more familiar with [more]

...I love to help. Math is my specialty - including calculus, geometry, precalculus, and statistics! I have a Bachelor's of Science from California Institute of Technology (CIT), an incredibly challenging university. My teaching style is one of: * LISTENING to see what your student is doing; to learn how he or she thinks. * ENCOURAGING students to push a little farther; to show them what they're really capable of. * EXPLAINING to teach what students need, in ways they can understand and... I love teaching math and science, and I know how to make it fun and interesting. As a physicist I work everyday with math and science, and I have a long experience in teaching and tutoring at all levels (university, high school, middle and elementary school). My son (a 5th grader) scores above 99 percentile in all math tests, and you too can have high scores.... [more]

Now retired from a career as an executive in the insurance industry, I am continuing to work as an adjunct faculty at a local College. I am teaching Statistics at both the undergraduate and graduate level. I have taught this type of course for over 15 years as an adjunct faculty in Indiana, Ohio and Illinois. Combining my actual business experience with my statistics knowledge offers an exciting combination. I love to experience the "aha" moment, when the light goes off and understanding ... [more]

Greetings! I'm Lance; thank you for visiting my page. Currently, I study philosophy at Benedictine University; I am in the process of writing my thesis and am set to graduate in 2019. My teaching style reflects my primary area of study. Rather than through brute memorization, genuine understanding is promoted by thinking through relevant information and its implications. In short, facts are useless without systematization--it's only when they're processed properly that they produce something ... [more]

My major at DePaul is mathematics with a concentration in statistics. Ever since I can remember, I was always helping other students with math. I enjoyed helping my classmates succeed. It ultimately made me think about pursuing a teaching career. My goal is to show you that it is not as hard as it seems. With the right motivation, dedication, and effort, you will find success in any math class you are struggling with. Many of my classmates that asked me for help really just wanted me to do their homework for them or to copy my answers. They wanted nothing to ... [more]

Hello! My name is Sam and I am certified to teach secondary mathematics in Illinois. I graduated with highest honors from both high school and college. I went on to get a Master's of Science Degree in Mathematics from Aurora University. I currently teach at a high school in Aurora, Illinois. I enjoy tutoring because it gives me a chance to work... [more]

I taught statistics at five colleges and one private high school, and I tutored struggling students at all six schools! At all six schools the courses stressed the usefulness of statistics (interpreting grades in education, making marketing decisions in business, checking quality control at factories, sifting through advertising by consumers, and even for understanding sports). I have tutored statistics at all six schools as well as students at other schools who are taking either statistics or AP statistics. [more]

I have taught and tutored advanced probability and statistics at the college level for over 5 years. I was chosen by the Dean of Mathematics and Sciences to teach statistics to high school students in our "get ahead "program. This program allowed qualified high school students from local feeder schools to enroll in college courses during their junior and/or senior year. I am proud to say that I was the ONLY math professor given a class of ALL high school students. I am a relatively young former college professor who taught for 11 years at local community colleges. I began my tutoring and teach [more]
