I never appreciated math in school, and then I started tutoring it in college. I understand why this is confusing, because I did not get it the first time around. I like to explain the subject matter in ways that make sense. I have been in charge of a college learning center for almost 5 years. I do a lot of the tutoring myself, and have also assisted students in other settings. I am used to working with students of all different backgrounds. I do not care where you are starting, I only care where you finish. I love to help people really connect with a subject they have always struggled with. [more]

I enjoy making mathematical concepts accessible to the students. Some students grasp the concepts quickly, while others learn at the slower pace. Love it! As a psychology major a lot of my peers had an aversion to any form of mathematics. For whatever reason, I did not share this aversion, especially with statistics. It's intricately tied into research as a tool to test ideas and predictions. I am one of the few people you'll meet who genuinely enjoys talking about statistics, especially as it relates to research methods. Hi! My name is Andrew and I graduated in May 2014 with a B.A. in psychology, as well as with minors in philosophy, neuroscience, and sociology. My approach to tutoring is meeting you wherever you are at and building [more]
