I'm Jared, a newly enrolled student at the University of Oklahoma. Though I don't have much formal experience tutoring regularly, I have done individual and group tutoring for formerly fellow high school students. But, I love teaching and helping people succeed! From my experience, the greatest classes are those where the student can interact with the information in a regular and understandable way. I usually use lesson plans centered around a more formalized teaching to open, like a PowerPoi... [more]

Since statistics is unique from other classes, I make every effort to help students connect what they learn to real-life examples and think critically about how the equations and concepts relate to reality. As I gained more and more teaching experience while attending graduate scho [more]

Sample B: 6, 8, 32, 34. How does the mean compare to the mean before? About how far from the mean would you say a typical member of this more spread out sample is? What's the new standard deviation? If you can answer these, y [more]

I earned my BS in Meteorology from OU with minors in Mathematics and Hydrology in 2009, my MS from OU in Meteorology in 2012, and I am currently a PhD Candidate in Meteorology at OU. I also have 3 years of experience teaching elementary and advanced Meteorology Laboratory classes at OU. In my time teaching, I truly enjoy the joy that I see in students when they finally solve a problem or reach a goal that they've been working very hard to solve or achieve, and I truly relish the opportuni...
