I made top grades in statistics for scientists and engineers in undergraduate school. I have also done very well in social science statistics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as having used statistical methods in my research projects. I have taught physics at both high school and college levels and have tutored in various areas of math and physics. I studied these subjects in college because they were challenging and I found them fascinating and fun. I enjoy teaching because I want to share this fascination with others, and because I want to help others meet the challeng [more]

I have tutored probability and statistics at a local university for 3 years I started tutoring my freshman year in college. I love tutoring because it has helped me reach my engineering goals in school. There is nothing like teaching something to master it! This began my love for learning and also for sharing knowledge with others who wish to do better. Often times students understand the material and just need more one on one time to workout examples and see things a bit clearer. I know how far hard work and determination can take a person. This is what I respect th... [more]

I graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) in the spring of 2017 with a master's degree in physics. During my studies there, I was regularly assigned as TA for multiple physics and astronomy classes, and I was selected as the Outstanding Physics Graduate Student for 2017 by UHCL's physics department. After graduation, I was also given the opportunity to work at UHCL as an adjunct professor for several astronomy courses. Although my main areas of expertise are physics and as... [more]

I have taken a wide variety of Statistics classes and taught a discussion section. I've helped students with calculus, precalculus and algebra for a few years. This fall I was a teaching assistant for a probability/engineering statistics course at the University of Illinois. I really enjoy trying to help people understand and enjoy math. I try to put myself in students shoes and think about what would've made the most sense when I was learning the subject. I've taken online linear algebra as well as more rigorous linear algebra 1 and 2 at Virginia Tech. I've helped with ... [more]
