I had a life long interest in statistics. I worked as a professional option trader for most of my adult life. This involved applying statistical concepts to random variables, commodity prices. I was a pioneer in this field as nobody had done this prior to myself and a few other mathematicians. At the high school where I taught, I instituted a statistics course that focused on the solution to practical problems. I approach statistics in an intuitive manner relying on visual representations to enhance an understanding of the problem being analyzed. [more]

As a student, I was gifted in math. I went through school rarely scoring anything lower than a 95 in math courses. I routinely tested in the 99 percentile on standardized test, and as a 6th grader test showed I was already beyond the 11th grade level. I finished several college math courses with a 105 average.
