Greetings, Personal development is a process that occurs at every stage of one?s life and allows one to realize a potential that arises within the heart of our boldest dreams. Tutoring offers a profound level of engagement, wherein both the student and the tutor define and refine goals along their pursuit of excellence. I agree with Howard Gardner?s conclusion that there are multiple learning styles, yet seek to define an accurate means to appeal to a student?s learning style in a man... [more]

I have a bachelor's degree in chemistry with a concentration in mathematics. In my PhD program for radiochemistry, I have a strong focus on statistical mechanics. I use both Microsoft Excel and the R program to assist me in my work. I have my associates degree in chemistry, and am going for my bachelors of science in chemistry with a minor in environmental studies. I have some (though not a lot of) freelance tutoring experience. My tutoring style includes make-shift visualization of the material and step-by-step mathematical proofs with conceptual understanding in mind. I have some lab expe [more]

The bachelor's degree that I have earned is in mathematics. But before I came to United States, I was teaching Integral Calculus, Discrete Structures, Differential Equations, and Automata Theory at Angeles University Foundation College of Computer Studies. I taught there for 5 years (1995-2000), while I was taking my post-graduate (MS Math) studies. Right now, I'm working as a math teacher in a high school in Henderson. This means that I have a wide range of knowledge in math, and I can ... [more]

I discovered my love for math in the fourth grade. I always felt like math problems were like puzzles: the key to solving any problem is trusting what you know and knowing how to use it. Nobody knows exactly how each puzzle piece will fit with one another, but by sorting through the easier parts first, whether you find it easier to match shapes or colors, the picture starts to reveal itself, and the harder part gets easier. My favorite part of tutoring is watching students begin to trust th... [more]

MATH, SPSS, Solidworks and Computing are some of the areas that I consider my forte, though I teach other subjects as well. I have had my education with three university degrees, each having extensive use of Mathematics. I have privately tutored students up to college level in the past and resumed this activity, as it gives me sheer joy and fulfillment of being able to share whatever knowledge and insight I may have gained. In a way, sometimes I find I am reliving some of the chapters of my o... [more]

I am experienced in tutoring statistics and I regularly deploy advanced statistical methods in my research. I finished my PhD in the spring and my coursework allowed me a deep immersion in statistics. Since my approach is question-driven, I am familiar with the needs of students who wish to apply their knowledge without a lot of math theory. I have been tutoring and teaching statistics and research design for six years and have more than ten years of tutoring experience all told. I have taught or tutored students from grade 8 up to post-grad. I am a political scientist by training (involve [more]

Currently a teacher at local colleges, I believe there is no reason to let statistics stress you out, it can be fun! I firmly believe ANYONE can master this important, useful skill set if given the proper time, encouragement, support, and instruction! I try to make statistics fun! I ALWAYS strive to make my clients experience a satisfactory one! I give fun examples you can apply to not only the real world, but examples I will custom make for you that apply to your current degree/field of s... [more]
