It's amazing to me that there is so much math related to the simple, humble triangle, but there is! The key to success in Trig is to realize that you need to think in "layers" (as many as 5 or 6 layers), and each layer must be mastered. Mastery comes from a solid understanding matched with lots of practice. If you take the right approach you can do well in Trig. It also helps to start a month or two before your Trig class starts to gain momentum in mastering the layers. I'm a lifelong learner who enjoys sharing my passion for learning with others. In June of 2018, I graduated with a BA in Physics and a minor in Mathematics, including demonstrating proficiency in Trigonometry. However, until I was a senior in high school, I struggled greatly in math. I was put in the "lower achieving" mathematics classes since elementary school, and it profoundly affected the way I viewed my confidence and performance in math. I know how it feels to struggle and fall behind at an important subject in school, particularly how nerve-wracking it can be! Because I spent so many years in school struggling as I did, I am better equipped to help others who are [more]
