It's amazing to me that there is so much math related to the simple, humble triangle, but there is! The key to success in Trig is to realize that you need to think in "layers" (as many as 5 or 6 layers), and each layer must be mastered. Mastery comes from a solid understanding matched with lots of practice. If you take the right approach you can do well in Trig. It also helps to start a month or two before your Trig class starts to gain momentum in mastering the layers. I'm a lifelong learner who enjoys sharing my passion for learning with others. I enjoy teaching and I'm patient with student [more]

I love to teach introductory trigonometry! I am always surprised by the fear many students have for this subject. I take it right back to basics, with plenty of explanation and practice with basic triangle problems, before introducing any trig functions. I have yet to tutor a student that does not express surprise and delight, "wow, that is actually really easy!". For me, this is one of the joys of teaching, when the student is actually inspired by what (s)he can do. The remainder of the course generally follows without confusion or difficulty. [more]

I've been teaching Trigonometry, as well as many other math subjects, for my entire tutoring career. I'm confident in all areas of Trigonometry and can help you or your student get the results you're looking for. Most of my students earn A's in class or recover significantly from low grades. My ACT/SAT students have earned over $500,000 in scholarships and they consistently score 26-36 (ACT), 1200+ (SAT) & improve 2 letter grades in class. My 2016-2017 students earned ACT scores from 24 to 34 (these students earned a 34, 33, 33, 33, 30, 29, 29, 28, 27, 26, 26, 26, and 24 respectively; a range [more]
