It's amazing to me that there is so much math related to the simple, humble triangle, but there is! The key to success in Trig is to realize that you need to think in "layers" (as many as 5 or 6 layers), and each layer must be mastered. Mastery comes from a solid understanding matched with lots of practice. If you take the right approach you can do well in Trig. It also helps to start a month or two before your Trig class starts to gain momentum in mastering the layers. I'm a lifelong learner who enjoys sharing my passion for learning with others. I enjoy teaching and I'm patient with student [more]

I've been teaching Trigonometry, as well as many other math subjects, for my entire tutoring career. I'm confident in all areas of Trigonometry and can help you or your student get the results you're looking for. Most of my students earn A's in class or recover significantly from low grades. My ACT/SAT students have earned over $1,000,000 in scholarships and they consistently score 26-36 (ACT), 1200+ (SAT) & improve 2 letter grades in class. My 2016-2017 students earned ACT scores from 24 to 34 (these students earned a 34, 33, 33, 33, 30, 29, 29, 28, 27, 26, 26, 26, and 24 respectively; a rang [more]

I have been tutoring trigonometry for more than five years. It is one of the most popular subjects I have been tutored. The unit circle is the key concept to know trigonometry, it is also the beginning of this subject. I usually help students understand it first. Hello students and parents, I am a math tutor. I'll be completely honest how I feel about trigonometry: it's not really a practical field of knowledge anymore. It's used in many areas of engineering and science, but not directly. But that doesn't mean it's not worth learning. Trig really boils math down to what it's all about: finding patterns in the world around us. Think of trig as a kind of mental exercise, like going to the gym for your brain. The more you flex these muscles, the better you'll be at finding patterns in other areas of mathematics. [more]

I took precalculus and calculus in high school, both of which use trigonometry. Advanced physics and mathematics use trigonometry often so I?m comfortable with the subject. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Mathematics and I am currently learning to code in several languages. While at UGA, I tutored students regularly in mathematics, chemistry, physics, and economics, and helped them get A's and B's in all of them. Since graduating, I've helped many students learning subjects such as Statistics, Calculus, Probability, and Number Theory, I also tutor Physics and Chemis [more]

My name is Ariel H., and I am a math major at the University of Denver. I tutor students with recognized learning challenges, as well as outside students in the Denver area. I tutored math 030 - 099 (entry level maths) at Arapahoe Community College for 2 semesters and now I tutor students with learning challenges at DU. I tend to approach math with a real - world perspective, interpreting problems and equations in terms of how they communicate an observable principle. I'm 19 years old, and ha... [more]
