I recently graduated from ASU with my bachelor's of science in biochemistry. I graduated with summa cum laude honors. I am now pursuing an online master's degree in the science of healthcare delivery. I hope to become a physician afterwards. I enjoy working one on one with students to help them suceed in Algebra. While I would have loved being a high school math teacher, I instead, graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering and later earned an MBA. I recently retired from my management position and now have time to pursue what I love, working with students. It is my experience that their confidence level is typically below their math ability. I work with them to not be afraid of math, improve their comprehension and learn orga... [more]

Trigonometry is a branch of mathematics that focuses on the relationships of angles and lengths of triangles. Most students struggle with trigonometry proofs of basic trig-identities. For these lessons, we will: 1) define important angles and lengths on the unit circle, 2) establish an easy method to do trig-proofs, and 3) solve and graph trigonometric functions. Are you looking for a tutor who can make sense of math? I love seeing that ?lightbulb? moment in my students, when it all suddenly fits together. Math can seem really complex, but with the right guidance and tools, the dots start to [more]
