I truly love to share that love through teaching and my specialty is tutoring algebra through college level calculus. Oooh, I just love to teach trig and calculus! I also love to help peop... [more]

I have tutored trigonometry for about 6 years, with even more experience tutoring trig concepts in courses such as algebra 2, precalculus and calculus. I also have a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics. Trigonometry is found throughout mathematics, especially higher level math, thus a strong foundation in the subject is very important. Since trigonometry is the study of triangles, it has a very real application to the physical world. Relating abstract concepts to real world concepts is a great method for teaching trig and one that I use often. [more]

I am an engineer in the automotive business. I received my Bachelors in Industrial Engineering after serving six years in the Navy as a nuclear trained machinist mate on a nuclear powered submarine. I have tutored during my undergraduate studies and off and on during my career as an engineer. The main reason I enjoy tutoring is seeing the "light bulb" go off when a student truly understands a lesson. It is very rewarding. I am capable of helping in any math or science discipline up to an... [more]

I taught Trigonometry for 5 years. In addition to whole classroom teaching, I also worked one-on-one with many of my students both privately and as part of the school's afterschool tutoring program. I have lots of experience making the material comprehensible to everyone! Hi, I'm Alicia! As both a teacher and a tutor, one of my favorite moments is the iconic "light bulb" moment, when a student really grasps a concept. It is an extremely rewarding experience for me to be a part of that moment of learning and understanding. This is something that I loved about teaching in a classroom setting, se [more]
