I have worked with several students in trigonometry with great success. My main approach to trigonometry is to build up a foundation of important facts like the unit circle and then hone in on strategies in problem solving. Practice will be key in developing these skills, so I try to prepare my students to use their homework time effectively. It seems like teaching has always been a part of my life, whether I was helping classmates with assignments at school, practicing my campers' Bar Mitzvah prep with them at camp, or formally tutoring. Education is a high priority for me, and I enjoy helpin [more]

I was a math tutor for ten years, including Trigonometry. Hi, I hold a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, so I have to know quite a bit of math and science for me to do well in my current job! I tutor on the side to keep up with my skills and to fulfill my passion for teaching. I am extremely passionate about math and science (especially chemistry in science, but I enjoy biology as well), and although I am not studying it, I am quite good at and love history, writing, and reading. I especially adore English grammar - in fact, I proofread sc... [more]

As a child, I loved and excelled in math. I went on to college to major in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. I also have a Master's Degree in Statistics and Mathematics. I have been tutoring all high school math, including AP Calculus, for over 20 years. I love interacting with students. The greatest reward is watching them truly get a concept and actually enjoy the process of doing math. I am proud that some of my students have gone on to major in math in college! My studen... I have a lot of experience in teaching math both in the classroom and tutoring students at home. While with Cincinnati Public Schools I was the math department head at several different schools and did most of the home visit math studies for students who were not able to come to school because of chronic sickness or injury. I also did my time with the district's tutoring lines. Because of my experience in this area I was also one of the people recommended by the district to students who ha... [more]
