I had a wonderful professor for Trigonometry and really enjoyed it. At Norco College, I was a trigonometry tutor and I had some students who would regularly come to me for tutoring. My passion for mathematics began when I was in 11th grade. As a homeschooled student, I had a flexible schedule which allowed me to take Algebra II at Norco College. I had an amazing professor who made me realize how fun math is. After that, I decided to major in math. In May 2012, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor's in Mathematics. For the next two years, I tutored math at Norco College. I realized th [more]

Hello! My name is Justin. I graduated from UC Davis with a bachelor's in atmospheric science. You might be asking: "Atmospheric Science? What's that?!" Atmospheric science is a broad and interdisciplinary field, and it involves meteorology (weather forecasting), climatology, atmospheric physics, atmospheric chemistry (which includes air pollution), and hydrometeorology (when hydrology meets meteorology). Studying atmospheric science requires tons of math and physics, so I can ensure you that ... [more]

As a college student I always help out friends and peers in class. I found out I really enjoyed teaching my favorite subjects in Math and Science. (Those being Geometry, Algebra 1 &2 , Biology, and Chemistry.) I was always top 10 of my class and I had strong interests in the science and mathematics fields, although I am pursuing my love for Urban & Regional Planning in college. I am currently attending Cal Poly Pomona (GO BRONCOS!) as a transfer student this 2018 Fall semester. Previously ... [more]

Hi, I am not your average tutor. I live to learn and love to teach. I pride myself on always trying to reach my students. Many tutors can have the same information to convey, but how they present the information and articulate it in a creative manner will be the key for whether you or your child actually understand it. This is why I am different, I am passionate about teaching and am always improving my ability to connect to my students. I truly try to understand my students so I can see exac... [more]

Trigonometry has been incorporated into most courses described as Algebra 2. Also, a more rigorous study of Trig is a major portion of Precalculus including an in depth section on trig identities. This is included in Algebra 2 because it makes extensive use of rational algebraic expressions involving trig function which must be handled using the laws of algebra. I love trig. And I can teach it. My love of teaching stems from a life-long pursuit of the truth of how things work. As a graduate of the University of California, Irvine (double majoring in math and biological science), I can loo [more]

In my teaching career, I have taught 1,000+ students in Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus! My students routinely grow their math skills by 3+ years in a single school year and regularly improve their grades from C?s and D?s to A?s! Not only that . . . but my students also report feeling significantly more confident in their math abilities and loving their math classes!! In my 15+ years as a teacher, tutor, and mentor, I have worked with and taught over 1,000 students in numerous math subjects (Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geome [more]

Hi all, A little bit about myself - my name is Paul, I'm 28, and I graduated from Columbia University. I've taught every level of high school math for 10 years now (up to AP Calc BC for high school, and Ordinary Differential Equations for college). I have gotten perfect scores on everything relating to math (SAT I Math, SAT Math IIC, AP Calculus AB & BC, etc), and I qualified for the AIME as only a sophomore. But more importantly, I have the rare ability to remove the anxiety that learning... [more]

I taught this subject for many years and can lecture entire curriculum by memory. I know of the common mistakes students make in applying many of the concepts. I can also teach tips and tricks that will facilitate mastery of the topics. In my 15 plus years of tutoring, I've had the pleasure of working many students from all walks of life and with a wide range of abilities. My favorite part of tutoring and helping students is being there to witness their "ah ha!" moment. The moment of true and pure understanding. The revelation that it all works, so long as they apply the right tools and c [more]

I have been tutoring college, high school, and middle school students for Physics, Math, Chemistry, English, and etc. since 2006. I have a B.S. in Electronics from SBU, and one B.S. in Chemical Biology from UC Berkeley. I will start medical school soon. Tutoring is a blessing to me. Sharing my knowledge with students and helping them achieve their goals is my joy and Nothing can be more rewarding than that. As an employed Math tutor in Irvine Valley College, I taught almost all math classe... [more]

Trigonometry is a very important branch of math and science. It tightly relates to complex, physics, calculus, geometry etc. Thus, students who want study natural sciences must do good job on trigonometry. I have prepared plenty of exercises on trigonometry for students to sharpen their skills and understandings on this topic. Graphing is also a useful tool to help students study trigonometry. I have my Bachelor and PhD degrees from Physics Department, Tsinghua University, which is one of the best two universities in China. I've been tutoring high school students for two years. I am happy to u [more]
