I had a wonderful professor for Trigonometry and really enjoyed it. At Norco College, I was a trigonometry tutor and I had some students who would regularly come to me for tutoring. My passion for mathematics began when I was in 11th grade. As a homeschooled student, I had a flexible schedule which allowed me to take Algebra II at Norco College. I had an amazing professor who made me realize how fun math is. After that, I decided to major in math. In May 2012, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor's in Mathematics. For the next two years, I tutored math at Norco College. I realized th [more]

Trigonometry has been incorporated into most courses described as Algebra 2. Also, a more rigorous study of Trig is a major portion of Precalculus including an in depth section on trig identities. This is included in Algebra 2 because it makes extensive use of rational algebraic expressions involving trig function which must be handled using the laws of algebra. I love trig. And I can teach it. My love of teaching stems from a life-long pursuit of the truth of how things work. As a graduate of the University of California, Irvine (double majoring in math and biological science), I can loo [more]

Nothing can be more rewarding than seeing a student improve and knowing that you have made a difference in his/her life, making learning a joy not a responsibility. I have been tutoring college and high school students for chemistry, biology and math for more than five years. I have a B.S. from UCI in Neurobiology and will start medical school in UCSD in the fall of 2018. During my education, I have had great professors who made me feel the subjects, not memorize them; and I am doing my bes... [more]

Hi I'm Kishan! I am a recent magna cum laude graduate from UC Davis in Neurobiology, Physiology, & Behavior and incoming medical student. I spent over three years in college tutoring chemistry, biology, and calculus. My approach and success in tutoring comes from the time I spend outside of the tutoring session. I individualize my lessons to each student, which is what allows for their success! Beyond STEM classes, I have taught for a test prep company and have extensive expertise in teachi... [more]

I taught this subject for many years and can lecture entire curriculum by memory. I know of the common mistakes students make in applying many of the concepts. I can also teach tips and tricks that will facilitate mastery of the topics. In my 15 plus years of tutoring, I've had the pleasure of working many students from all walks of life and with a wide range of abilities. My favorite part of tutoring and helping students is being there to witness their "ah ha!" moment. The moment of true and pure understanding. The revelation that it all works, so long as they apply the right tools and c [more]

I have a very strong background in Science and Mathematics. In fact, I had been a teacher's assistant for Calculus while I was still in high school. I got a 5 in the AP exam and breezed through calculus during college. Also, during my undergraduate studies, I tutored several students in various Sciences. I started in a 7-year combined program for an accelerated Medical Program, but did not go to Medical school as I decided to focus on preventative healthcare. I am still fascinated by the hum... Trigonometry is a very important branch of math and science. It tightly relates to complex, physics, calculus, geometry etc. Thus, students who want study natural sciences must do good job on trigonometry. I have prepared plenty of exercises on trigonometry for students to sharpen their skills and understandings on this topic. Graphing is also a useful tool to help students study trigonometry. I have my Bachelor and PhD degrees from Physics Department, Tsinghua University, which is one of the best two universities in China. I've been tutoring high school students for two years. I am happy to u [more]

Dear potential student, Your solution to your math problems is right here. I have 3 years of experience in tutoring as well as supplemental instruction. I have helped well over 100 students and achieved positive results. The students that I have helped are from my community college and many have transferred successfully to four year institutions. My expertise range from basic arithmetic to multivariable calculus. I have been told by tutees that I am very patient and truly address their con... [more]

Hi all, A little bit about myself - my name is Paul, I'm 28, and I graduated from Columbia University. I've taught every level of high school math for 10 years now (up to AP Calc BC for high school, and Ordinary Differential Equations for college). I have gotten perfect scores on everything relating to math (SAT I Math, SAT Math IIC, AP Calculus AB & BC, etc), and I qualified for the AIME as only a sophomore. But more importantly, I have the rare ability to remove the anxiety that learning... [more]
