Math is an integral part of understanding engineering concepts. While calculus is considered the most used math in the field, it really all starts with the fundamentals leading up to calculus. These include algebra, precalculus, and trigonometry. In order to learn to apply math to the "real world" trigonometric identities are crucial since they help understand angles and geometry.
