One of the first undergraduate math courses I taught was trigonometry and I have taught at least two sections of trig every year in the intervening 10 years or so. I really enjoy trig, and with my heavy calculus background, I really know what you need to take away from trig to your next course and why. I also have enough experience to see where problems occur and good ways to help straighten them out! 8-) I hold two master's degrees -- one in applied mathematics, one in physics. I started teaching math in 1999. While many of the intervening years saw me as a part-time adjunct instructor of mat [more]

I graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1988. I have BA and MS in Physics and PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Earlier I did theoretical research in fluid mechanics and acoustics related to the NASA Microgravity Program. More recently I worked in the area of computational fluid mechanics, again related to the NASA Space program. Now I have just retired. I plan to spend my retirement time in something worthwhile, including helping students in math and physics. I had tutoring experience when I was in high school and university. ... [more]

I am currently a full-time college mathematics instructor for a local university based in Normal, Alabama. I have taught high school mathematics, online mathematics courses and college mathematics courses as well for approximately 16 years. I believe that my teaching both in class and through an online program combined with my course work and tutoring background in mathematics make me a strong candidate for tutoring with WyzAnt. Because of my prior experience, I have learned to wor... [more]

I love trigonometry and it comes naturally to me. The students I taught trigonometry have done very well in school and these students range from high-school students to graduate students in universities. I performed very well in trigonometry from grades 9 to graduate school at MIT. At MIT I got a bachelor of science degree and a master of engineering degree, each in "electrical engineering and computer science". My GPA for my BSc. degree is 4.2/5.0 and my GPA for my M.Eng degree is 4.6/5.0. I have always had a passion for math, the sciences, computer science and engineering and always excell [more]
