Trigonometry can be a challenging subject within Mathematics. The idea is to build one thing over another and the only way you do it is by insuring that the previous concepts leading to Trigonometry are clear. With my 30 plus year teaching experience, that's how I would like to teach the subject. I have over 30 years of experience teaching mathematics at a commumity college level. I retired as a principal of the college four years ago. My areas of expertise are in algebra, calculus, geometry, trig etc. Prior to being the principal, I was the head for the mathematics department for 10 year [more]

I am also helping my son in trigonometry, now in 9th grade, and he tells me that I am a very good teacher. I earned a Master's Degree in Physics in 2008 and Ph.D. degree in experimental nuclear physics in 2012. I think everybody can learn Physics and Math and these are interesting subjects. In most cases these subjects are made difficult because of the persons teaching it. I enjoy teaching physics and math for mainly two reasons: first, students can assess their physics/math knowledge through problem solving and critical thinking, and second, physics/math provides students the opportunity [more]

I really enjoy what I do. My greatest reward in teaching is watching my students succeed. And they do. With 30 years of experience teaching secondary mathematics, I continue working with both students and instructors in the classroom. Over the years, I have been most fortunate to work with students who have challenged me to scaffold solutions for difficult concepts. I specialize in step-by-step approaches to problem solving. I have taught (and continue to teach) several math subjects, i... [more]
