I have had a long (30 years) and satisfying career in software development, but I was a math major in college. I helped my two daughters through their math classes, and they were always saying I should be a teacher. While I have enjoyed computer programming, math has always been my first love, and in particular, algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. When I was a graduate student, I was assigned to teach a few classes, and also worked as a Teaching Assistant when I was an undergrad. If you need... [more]

I have a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from UT Austin and over 5 years of experience teaching Trigonometry. I spent 5 years as an in-school math tutor for all high school level math subjects (Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus) as well as physics and have tutored at several different schools in Austin, typically with students considered "at risk" academically. I attended the University of Texas at Austin and obtained my Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. Although I decided that I enjoyed teaching much more than engineering, that didn't stop me from get [more]

Hi there, I got a Master from University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). I was a Math tutor at community colleges for 5 years and Calculus I TA (Teaching Assistant) at UTD for 2 years. As a student like you, I was experiencing difficulties while attending math courses and encountering troubles while solving math problems. Now, I hope I can help you efficiently with your math lessons and homework you have been facing--- with my knowledge, experience, and sincerity. See you! Sincerely, Little ... [more]

Trigonometry is a class where most students will start to have some issues, even if they have been doing very well in earlier math classes. I suspect this is for two main reasons: one is the novelty of new functions encountered and, two, because this class draws heavily upon properties of functions studied in algebra, but which may have been forgotten or underappreciated. As a trigonometry tutor, my goal is to remind students of these properties, where applicable, and to help ease the transition into trigonometry by breaking down the various aspects of the trigonometric functions into those th [more]

I'm certified to teach all High School Mathematics in Texas and I'm an experienced Trigonometry tutor. My goal is to provide a convenient and helpful service. I am happy to meet students online using Wyzant's outstanding online tools, but I will also meet with students in the comfort of their own home or a neutral place like the library in Cedar Park or Starbucks. I'm a full time tutor committed to my students 9a-9p / 6 days a week and after 2:00 on Sundays. I do not have a set session length. For each student I try to schedule enough time to cover that student's needs most of the time. F [more]

My BS degree in Mathematics included extensive training, which I have used continuously over 12 years of teaching Physics and Astronomy. I have been a classroom teacher of science for 12 years, including 4 years of AP Physics. My math background and lifelong pursuit of astronomy enable me to tutor in astronomy and algebra with a high degree of expertise. I generally start tutoring by answering specific questions from the student. This takes care of the student's urgent needs. Then, as I get to know the student and identify areas of weakness, I work intensively to develop the student's ability [more]

I have a B.S. in Education (Penn State), and a Master's in Mathematics (Ohio State). I have previously taught at the Junior High level for 12 years teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. Currently I am on staff as an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Temple College, and as an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics at The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. The college classes I teach consist mostly of College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus (1 and 2) and Elementary Statisti... [more]

I have extensive experience tutoring Trigonometry both at the high school and college level. My patient and thorough approach is proven to be very effective with students. I have a long history of tutoring math and science at Austin Community College in addition to working as an engineer, so I can understand the application of the math and science. But more importantly, I want my pupils to learn the subject matter so they can solve problems on their own. I believe in a very patient approach that encourages the student to believe in their ability to learn the material and perform. So once [more]

My name is Candace! I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's in Business Administration. Some of my past tutoring experience includes test prep such as STAAR, TAKS and college entrance exams, as well as, various subjects at various grade levels. As an engineer, I worked with computers and computer programs on a daily basis, so I also provide tutoring in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point and other computer applications. I tutor all ages and look ... [more]
