Hi Guys, My name is Sanjay. I am a current master's level graduate student who majored in physics at Pacific Union College. I have a very genuine passion for teaching and helping students learn. As cliche as it sounds, I really find joy in helping others better understand concepts or just help them learn something new. I am very patient, kind, hard-working, and have great communication skills. I do my best to guide my students towards, not only the right answer, but the correct thought proce... [more]

I have many years of professional experience working with high school and college trigonometry students. My library contains several popular precalculus and trigonometry textbooks, and I have accumulated a great number of worksheets, handouts, and formula sheets to help students effectively navigate this class. I have a decade of professional experience teaching and tutoring mathematics and SAT/ACT test preparation. Over the years I have developed very effective strategies and techniques for working with students, and I have become very skilled at individualizing my instruction according to ea [more]

I graduated with honors in Biochemistry with a minor in Rhetoric and Astronomy at the University of Maryland, College Park and am a recognized member of the American Chemical Society (Department of Chemical Education). My strengths are in biochemistry, but I have produced, and was awarded, an honors citation thesis in the fields of Solid State Chemistry and Condensed Matter Physics (superconductors and the like). In college I have tutored for undergraduate courses and have been a teaching as... [more]

Trigonometry is often the most confusing subject for many students I've encountered simply because they don't make the connection that we are now dealing with lengths and angles. I use simple techniques that help my students truly understand the unit circle, graphs of trig functions and trig identities. I don't teach them to just memorize but rather to understand why these relationships and equations exist. Hello everyone! My name is Sam. My philosophy on tutoring is simple, I work very hard behind the scenes to make my sessions as effective as possible for my students. Every student's learn [more]

Hello potential tutees! I'm a 28 year old certified math teacher. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering in 2008. My major required a broad-range of higher level mathematics and science courses. While an undergrad, I started tutoring for a small, private tutoring company. I tutored in subjects ranging from Physics to Calculus. One of my students was even accepted to Stanford! This is my fifth year teaching mathematics in the classroo... [more]

Trig was my favorite subject to teach at Crafton Hills. Whenever students came in for help with trig, I was so happy. We didn't receive much training for this subject, but I spent a lot of my own time studying the subject. This payed off. In calculus and physics, we spend a lot of time rewriting expressions using trig functions to solve problems. Also, most physical phenomena behave wavelike and, therefore, can be described using trigonometry. I have always enjoyed tutoring. I first started tutoring at Crafton Hills College in the tutoring center there. I loved getting to know all the peop [more]

Tutoring combines three of my favorite things: Math, physics, and helping students succeed. I graduated from UCR with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics/Physics, and during my time there I had been a tutor and a Supplemental Instruction (kind of like group tutoring) leader. My favorite part about tutoring is seeing students get excited about figuring problems out on their own. Because math and physics tend to be difficult subjects for most, a lot of people give up and settle for average. However, ... [more]
