The trigonometric circle is the foundation of all advanced mathematical concepts leading forward into calculus. A solid understanding of the trigonometric applications and how it correlates to the third dimension is imperative to becoming a successful mathematician. This is what I do. I teach students how to prepare themselves for critical thinking in advanced math and recognizing proper applications in solving problems of unusual situations. I consider academics and education to be the greatest of all gifts. Having a good life means having good choices. Having a poor choice or a lack of c [more]

I recently taught high school math in Davidson County for four years and worked directly with the ACT prep program. I am currently working to open my own after school enrichment program and would like to help students all over middle Tennessee improve their math skills while I put it together. The Fall semester is just half way through and already our focus is on Winter Exams, the ACT/SAT, and college applications and scholarships. The December SAT and ACT dates are fast approaching and the ... [more]

My goal as your math tutor is to improve your math study skills, study habits and improve your math grade. By doing the following: - Assist student with math homework. - Prepare student for math class, math quizzes, tests and exams. - Teach student how to study the textbook outside the classroom. - Teach student to manage their time and develop better study habits and skills. The overall goal is to increase students' interest in mathematics and reduce or completely take away any anxi... [more]

I have taken a summer program at my university specifically devoted to Trigonometry, since it is fundamental to many precalculus and upper-level math subjects. As a tutor at my university, I often encountered many trigonometric concepts and I find that students understand the subject better by studying the unit circle. In my tutoring sessions, I will emphasize the unit circle, if the student does not already understand it, and use it to explain the essentials of trigonometry. Hello! I'm Olivia and I'm a statistics graduate student with a Bachelor of Science in math. Math is the most useful sub [more]

I am going on my fourth year as an instructor at the college level. I have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in mathematics, which makes for a unique perspective on the purpose of math and its application in the world around us. Unlike most professors, I teach entirely introductory mathematics courses, which include algebra, precalculus, and calculus. Combined with a more than a decade of one-on-one private tutoring, this makes me an expert in knowing both w... [more]

I graduated from Oakwood University with a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry and a minor in mathematics. While attending Oakwood, I worked as chemistry and math tutor for the Center for Academic Success for two years and a teaching assistant in the Math and Computer Science Department. I then went on complete an Masters in Business Administration from The University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business while teaching as a 4th and 5th grade teacher at a great local school. I enjoy tutoring, ... [more]

I have been working privately as a mathematics tutor, extensively covering Trigonometry as a primary subject for six years now. I excelled in the concepts of Trigonometry that were covered in my high school math courses. I achieved exceptional marks in this class, as well and those courses to which Trigonometry is a building block that required a thorough understanding of Trigonometric functions, identities, and conceptual knowledge. There are a great deal of applications of trigonometry in a mechanical engineering curriculum, including the study of system dynamics and control mechanisms. [more]
