I have taught high school trigonometry courses and university level courses for 9 years! It is one of my favorite topics, and I've helped students pass these courses with a great success rate! I have a Masters in Mathematics Education from Southern Arkansas University. I have taught math for over 10 years on a variety of levels. From 5th grade math all the way to university level math, I love teaching the basics as well as algebra, geometry, precalculus, and calculus. Math is more than just memorizing formulas; math is about critical thinking and problem solving skills. During my 10+ yea [more]

I have taught and tutored Trigonometry on both the high school and College level for more than 40 years. I am familiar with content standards for this subject. I also use the online math programs like MathXL that many schools use in their classes. Trigonometry is my favorite subject. I have been teaching for 40 years and I still love it. For a student to be successful in the classroom, he or she needs to feel confident in the subject matter. I can give you that confidence. Over the years, I have tutored many students and enjoy the one-to-one learning environment. I currently teach Algebra 2 [more]

I am a recent graduate of the Tulane Masters of Pharmacology Program offered at the School of Medicine (graduated May 2015). I graduated from undergrad at Tulane also with a Neuroscience major and Economics minor. Currently, I am applying to medical school and living in New Orleans. I volunteer often and have completed more than 200 hours of community service in the last three years, a large portion of those hours coming from helping out with a first grade class at the KIPP charter school on ... I've always excelled academically, and I have a passion for sharing that experience with others. There is no greater thrill for me than the satisfaction of a job well-done. While completing both my Bachelor's and Master's of Arts in a single four-year timespan, I learned the value of hard work, time management, and most importantly, having a fantastic support system. I would not have achieved what I did without the help of my teachers and advisors, and now I want to pass that on to others. M... [more]

I have a Master's in Mathematics and PhD in applied physics, including Trigonometry. I am confident I can help you learn math or physics. If physics or math is your major or just something you need help with I am here to help you. I am passionate about being an educator and would love to help you. I took graduate level coursework in graph theory and elementary number theory. For my degrees, I used Discrete Math often. I have also taught a math class that included Discrete Math and quantum physics which also uses discrete math. I have a Master's in mathematics, a Master'... [more]

I have three college degrees that I acquired in Europe. One of them is in teaching (Pedagogy). I taught math, physics, and engineering during my 17 years of teaching career in Europe. All of my degrees were accredited by World Education Services (New York) to equivalent credentials in the US. I also have 26 years of mechanical engineering experience in the US. although I am currently retired. Additionally, I posses a professional Engineering license registered in the state of Penns... Trigonometry is an essential part of calculus and physics. I have a very natural understanding of the subject from years of using it in more advanced subjects like calculus, physics, linear algebra, complex analysis, etc. Trigonometry lends itself to being taught in a visual way, so in tutoring I will work to help the students visualize some of the formulas which appear daunting to first time students. "If it were easy, everyone would do it." Math isn't easy. Maybe for a precious few it's easy (and even for them there are some problems that are too hard to crack!), but for most of us it takes [more]

I just love mathematics!!! Approved to tutor in Pre Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry and Trigonometry. I began tutoring on a volunteer basis about 8 years ago strictly via word of mouth. I loved it. I thoroughly enjoy the moment that the light bulb goes on in a student's mind and they GET IT! So I have decided to pursue more fully my first career choice and that is math teaching/tutoring. I am a registered professional engineer with nearly 30 years of practice in a corporate setting. In my last three semesters at UNO, I worked as a tutor for Student Support Services (SSS). I took Math, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry students and helped them with weekly revisions, study techniques, quiz preps, and exam reviews. Before starting my job at SSS, I was already helping classmates and friends out when they needed any help in their classes. To me, it was fun to talk about something that I already understood. Furthermore, success in the form of the person doing better than they w... [more]
