Bring Back the Wonder of Math

With Algebra 2 comes Trigonometry, and although the Common Core Standards have removed much of trig from Algebra 2 (placing it in the Geometry curriculum) I still have a strong background teaching Trigonometry. I am a local HS math teacher who has experience teaching Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 as well as Regents prep for both courses. I am a huge sports fan, specifically Syracuse football and basketball. I enjoy still playing in my local basketball and volleyball leagues as well. I have been tutoring mathematics in some form for about 10 years and really enjoy helping people to build confidence [more]

Algebra, Calculus and Chemistry Tutor

I can teach Algebra, Calculus, Chemistry, and Physics. I have tutored online, but I much prefer teaching in person. I have two children now in college, at Ivy League schools. I was their primary caregiver throughout their childhood, and helped them with their schoolwork whenever they needed it. They both took math up through AP calculus (one of them took Calculus BC). One of them took AP Chemistry, the other took AP Physics, so I have seen some of the work done in those classes. My... [more]
