I have been tutoring high school and college students as well as adult learners for over a decade. Typically, I find that most students, even those who claim not to be ?math people,? have the skill and ability necessary to be successful, but they often lack confidence. I?m ready to lend a hand -- coaching not just the course material, but offering reassurance and friendly encouragement along the way! I want you or your child to feel confident and prepared for every exam, so my hours are ver... [more]

The school year is beginning. Rather than wait and get into difficulty with a subject, why not consider a tutor to help smooth out the anxious moments. It is preferable to deal with these issues before the grades reflect problems. Or if you are studying for the SAT or ACT or PERT , I have had great success with helping students marvelously improve their point score. Why not consider a tutor? Whether you take online classes , home-school or are struggle with a difficult course; you may... [more]

I recently relocated from the northeast to Wesley Chapel, FL in order to be closer to family and be as far away from those cold snowy winters as possible. For the better part of 10 years I played professional poker, which requires a high level of intelligence, keen observation and adaptability, and a strong foundation in mathematics. On top of that, I started a private SAT prep business with a former English Professor in Philadelphia in 2004. He took care of the English, I took care of t... [more]

Trigonometry is an important prerequisite to calculus. Sometimes it is taught as a stand-alone subject. sometimes it is taught as part of precalculus. A solid geometry foundation is required. When I tutor trigonometry, I will first go over basic geometry (triangles and circles), then explain trigonometric functions. I am a public speaker and love to zap anyone with the "I can do it" attitude about life long learning. B.S. in Mathematics -- MATH and reading are my passions! Prior tutoring successes have included algebra 1 tutoring of a flunking student who not only passed that course, but [more]
