Most students know Trigonometry with sine, cosine, tangent, and unit circle. I make sure that students fully understand these concepts and learn how to use the identities to deal with them. Trigonometry plays a great role on higher level mathematics specially Calculus. I encounter many Calculus students which they have hard time because they lack Trigonometric skills. I always make sure my students understand each topic fully before I move to a new one. I am a patient and experienced tutor that is doing this job professionally. Please spend couple of minutes to take a look at my testimonials [more]

I have many years of professional experience working with high school and college trigonometry students. My library contains several popular precalculus and trigonometry textbooks, and I have accumulated a great number of worksheets, handouts, and formula sheets to help students effectively navigate this class. I have a decade of professional experience teaching and tutoring mathematics and SAT/ACT test preparation. Over the years I have developed very effective strategies and techniques for working with students and I have become very skilled at individualizing my instruction according to eac [more]

As a practicing Civil Engineer, I use math and science daily at work. I have been helping students increase their confidence and grades in Trigonometry since 2004. Seeing a student succeed is the best part about being a tutor. I have helped many students earn higher grades and better test scores than they ever thought possible. My method of teaching is geared towards complete comprehension and mastery of a topic; I will ensure that your student can work out test problems and employ critical thinking skills on their own. Every student has the potential to succeed in any subject; I am only here [more]

I have tutored hundreds of students for thousands of hours. The subjects I have been most involved with over the last 10 years have been Algebra II (including trigonometry), Geometry, Chemistry, Algebra 1 and Precalculus. I can also make a significant difference in a student's readiness for the math portion of various achievement tests: SAT, ACT, and ISEE, among others. I have a Lifetime Credential for teaching Math, Life Science and English and really enjoy tutoring. My younger child h... [more]

Hi Guys, My name is Sanjay. I am a current master's level graduate student who majored in physics at Pacific Union College. I have a very genuine passion for teaching and helping students learn. As cliche as it sounds, I really find joy in helping others better understand concepts or just help them learn something new. I am very patient, kind, hard-working, and have great communication skills. I do my best to guide my students towards, not only the right answer, but the correct thought proce... [more]

Hello! I am a UCSD graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology, and I recently graduated from USC with my Masters degree in Global Medicine. As an undergraduate at UCSD, I worked as a teaching assistant for lower division biology classes and also tutored different math subjects. I have tutored students in math and science at all grade levels: elementary, middle school, high school and college. I have over eight years of tutoring experience and I am passionate about sharing my ... [more]

I have a PhD in Biophysics, an MS in Physics, and BAs in Physics and Humanities. I've been tutoring high school, college, and graduate students for 23 years in various levels of math. I like to help students move from "Math Anxiety," to "It's only math!" I remember what it was like to struggle with science and math subjects, and I hope to remove the anxiety and frustration from these topics. I think all students can understand these topics... IF they have someone who will teach them the way they learn best. Not all students learn or are motivated the same way, and I adapt my approach for each [more]

Trigonometry is typically not taught as a standalone subject. It is usually folded into a precalculus/math analysis class taken the year after Algebra 2. By far, student regularly cite this as the most challenging portion of a precalculus class. It requires a great deal of memorization and an ability to juggle multiple equations/identities. I usually spend a great deal of time drilling students in the unit circle. We then transition to the basic and intermediate identities. Proving an identity is typically the hardest task. Once students develop their basic knowledge sufficiently, I give t [more]

Trigonometry is another underappreciated level of mathematics usually tied up in pre-calculus or algebra 2. Trigonometry on its own is a challenge for three direct reasons. First, the student usually does not know how to interpret the unit circle effectively. Second, the student does not know how to graph trig functions effectively. Finally, the student usually does not know how to interpret what an inverse trig function means. Unless a student has a decent foundation in each of those areas, they will struggled on the final. Thankfully, I am proficient in every single on of these area. [more]
