I have taught math through precalculus, which included trigonometry. I have also taught independent courses in trigonometry. My name is Jacquelyn and I have been an educator for over thirty years. I have taught and tutored at both the high school and college level. I consider myself a science and math tutor, as I have taught and tutored biology and chemistry, including AP for both subjects, and math through Precalculus. I possess a California Community College Credential in Biological Sciences and I have held a Iowa Post Secondary Certificate in Chemistry and a California Secondary Credenti [more]

Hello, I am Tina. I recently graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in Chemistry and I have also received American Chemical Society certification for professional education while at the university. I have been tutoring students in math and science for the past couple of years. I've tutored math subjects ranging from common core mathematics to differential equations. I've also tutored students in chemistry, biology, and physics. I have taught students one on one and have also tutored in aft... [more]

I love sine, cosine, tangent, and cotangent. I also like to challenge the identity problems. They are so fun. If you need help in trigonometry, I am the right person. I can help you on unit circle, solving triangles, identities, and word problems. I am a patient and experienced tutor that is doing this job professionally. Please spend couple of minutes to take a look at my testimonials to see what my students are saying about my tutoring style and experience. 2016 was an important year for me, since I graduated from University of California-Irvine, Paul Merage School of Business with Business [more]

I've worked with many students to improve their grades and confidence in trigonometry. I understand that the theorems and identities can often feel overwhelming, and I work with the students so that they can better apply them and find ways to learn them. NOTICE: I will be on maternity leave starting early October and will only be available to tutor online on a limited basis until I return. I look forward to working with you! Hello! I'm very excited that you are embarking on this enlightening journey, and I'd be happy to help you as you pursue your educational endeavors! I primarily tutor in P [more]

In my 7+ years of math tutoring, I have tutored many students in trigonometry. From my experience, I've noticed that when a student is having challenges in math, it is often because one or two concepts slipped by, or weren?t taught properly. This makes the next concept more difficult, and a student can soon be left behind. I will quickly help you get caught up, and then help you get ahead, so that your math classes will be like review sessions instead of ?mystery hours?. I have been tutoring for over 7 years, working with K-12 and college level students to achieve their academic goals. Having [more]

I pride myself in helping students reach proficiency in math and in learning and easily recalling what they have learned. I've taught and tutored high school math in California for 16 years, was teacher of the year and math department chair for 4 years, and spearheaded several innovative programs for multiple schools to help struggling students improve the speed and proficiency of their learning. I am an excellent tutor because I offer multiple approaches to each subject with the goal of l... [more]

I have tutored several students in Trigonometry from local high schools such as Esperanza, Troy, and Yorba Linda. The topics covered ranged from unit circle, trig. identities, trig. function graphing, and the application of trigonometry to science and engineering. I have always had a love of learning and teaching. I have worked with students for over 20 years. I started tutoring when I was in high school. I tutored fellow high school students in Math starting my junior year. When I attended Cal Poly, I tutored science and engineering students on campus. And finally, when I studied at St [more]

Trigonometry is one of my favorite subjects to tutor, largely because of it's applications in physics. As such, trig is probably the subject with which I have the most tutoring experience, and it is one of my favorite math subjects. I am intimately familiar with the subject, and over time I have developed effective strategies for explaining the concepts to students. My name is Chris, and I am currently a junior double majoring in mathematics and physics at Azusa Pacific University, planning to graduate in December 2017. Since I started school, I have been interested in tutoring, in large par [more]

Trigonometry is typically not taught as a standalone subject. It is usually folded into a precalculus/math analysis class taken the year after Algebra 2. By far, student regularly cite this as the most challenging portion of a precalculus class. It requires a great deal of memorization and an ability to juggle multiple equations/identities. I usually spend a great deal of time drilling students in the unit circle. We then transition to the basic and intermediate identities. Proving an identity is typically the hardest task. Once students develop their basic knowledge sufficiently, I give t [more]

In my sophomore year of high school I took Trigonometry/Math Analysis. By taking it my sophomore year, I had prepared myself to start taking Calculus the next year. Now, I continue to brush up on my Trigonometry skills in my college level math classes. I am a Computer Science undergraduate at California State University, Fullerton. I have been tutoring for over 3 years and have experience tutoring elementary through college level students. I have successfully prepared students for SAT and ACT Math tests, and up to Trigonometry/Pre-calculus classes. In high school, I was in an accelerated math [more]
