I make music fun and easy to learn

I have been teaching voice since 2004 and have done so in schools and privately based on my own training and experience as a teacher, student and church musician. Hi there! I've been teaching almost 27 years and acquired most of my education instructed privately. My philosophy of teaching is this: Music needs to be presented in a FUN and ENCOURAGING way in order for your students to grow I'm laid back in my teaching style but still structured to an extent. I like to give my students a variety of music to learn - not just the boring teaching method book that they all need to have. I also r [more]

Voice Instructor

I have a degree in Vocal Music Performance from Southeastern University and have been singing for a little over 20 years. I have been taught by three very qualified and wonderful voice teachers. I have been teaching voice lessons for the past six years. A few of my students went on to receive lead roles in their high school musical productions. I have taken music theory, vocal pedagogy, piano, cello, voice lessons, as well as choral and orchestral conducting classes throughout college. I sing professionally with local chorale groups. Joe-Re-Mi Music Studio

My undergraduate degree was vocal performance. I gave recitals, performed in shows, and taught voice lessons on the side. In graduate school, I continued taking voice lessons (though not required), and have been cast in community theater lead roles. I have been hired to sing at Disney weddings, as a backup singer for Kenny Rogers, and lots of other amazing gigs! During grad school, I took courses on vocal health and proper technique. This has become my biggest passion because so many people sing incorrectly and that can lead to injury down the road. [more]

Master's grad for a range of topics

During high school and into college I was a member of the choral music department. For a part time job i was also involved as a paid intern in my college's chamber choir, and collegiate choir as well. This included finding and ordering musical compositions and also writing vocal compositions for the choirs respectively. Have you always wanted to learn that new skill? Or need help studying for that big final? If you are ready to work hard and have fun, welcome to my tutoring platform. As a master's graduate in 2015, i know personally how difficult it can be to take on a new subject by yourself [more]

Reading is FUNdamental

As an international recording artist, and I have studied vocal technique for many years. Proper breathing, tone, diction, vocal exercise, rest, hydration and warm vocal chords are just a few of the many components of proper voice training. Knowing your range is crucial to your vocal longevity, because over stressing your vocal chords could cause serious if not permanent damage. I have taught vocal lessons to children and adults, ages ranging from 6 to 60 and they have all given nothing but extremely positive feedback. [more]

A teacher inspired to reach for higher levels of achievement

My voice training began in the 1940?s where I trained, entered and performed in a contest where I won the position of being an opera understudy in New York City. Having sung various styles of songs and performing throughout my life, I continued my training at both the University of South Florida and the University of Florida where, I performed on stage as a soloist and in various choirs. Although I am capable of singing opera and other styles of music, my favorite singing role is to sing gospel solos in my church where I sometimes accompany myself on the piano while singing. I have continued t [more]
