I have taught and tutored students in courses including in Calculus I, II, and III, Differential Equations, Probability & Statistics, Linear Algebra, Physics, and Advanced Calculus. I know the SAT and ACT math tests inside and out. I know the structure and style of questions and can definitely help you improve your score. I have a BA from Rutgers University and an MSc from ... Calculus

Calculus is one of my favorite subjects to teach. It's the gateway to more advanced mathematics and the foundation for many other courses in mathematics and science. I have taught Calculus I, II, and III many times in a community college setting. I am very familiar with the AP exams as well! I have tutored many students privately, as well, and can provide references.

Java

I have been programming in Java for a few years now. I am very interested primarily in algorithms and data structures as they are VERY mathematical in nature. I love computer science and am currently taking courses in more advanced computational techniques. I am willing to do a first lesson for free, given my background is mostly in math. But I am positive the student will be more than satisfied and ask for another session!

SAT Math

I've tutored the SAT subject and reasoning math tests MANY times. I know the tests inside and out. I also taught all the math courses at a community college for years.

GRE

I've tutored, SAT's, GRE's, ACT's, etc MANY times and know them inside and out!! My scores on both the SAT and GRE were in the top 1st percentile.

Linear Algebra

Probability

I was an actuary for 10 years and have passed the exams in probability, statistics, and stochastic models. I have an MSc in mathematics and a decent part of my coursework was in probability and statistics.

ACT Math

I've tutored the ACT many times. In fact it's a big part of how I make my living. I have taught the primary math subjects covered on the ACT: Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus many times. I also tutor the Science portion of the test. I know these two sections inside and out!

Statistics

I worked as an actuary for seven years. Actuaries use probability and statistics to help keep insurance companies in business by charging the correct rates for insurance. I have passed four of the Casualty Actuarial Society exams which rely heavily on probability and statistics and are extremely difficult. I have tutored in both probability and statistics before and have also taught these topics at a community college many times.

Differential Equations

Differential Equations is one of my favorite subjects to teach. It's the gateway to more advanced mathematics and the foundation for many other courses in mathematics and science. I have taught it many times in a community college setting.

Actuarial Science

I was an actuary for about 7 years. I have passed the first 4 exams of the Casualty Actuarial Society. I also have a Master's degree in mathematics. I can tutor in any one of the preliminary actuarial exams of the SOA or the CAS.
