SAT Math

For over a decade, I have been teaching the ISEE and the SSAT for entry into prestigious private schools such as Horace Mann (ranked number 1 in the US), and the SAT, ACT, GRE and GMAT for entry into Ivy League Colleges at the undergraduate and graduate level. Some students come from as far afield as Moscow, such is the demand for an experienced tutor in these tests. Whatever the level, the tests are remarkably similar and predictable, given appropriate mathematical training. Recent successes include an 11 year old accepted into Horace Mann, a 9 year old scoring at grade 8 and 9 level in all sections of the ISEE, a 17 year old that scored a perfect 800 in Sat math level 2 and accepted into the University of Pennsylvania, a Finance major accepted into Columbia Business School, and a Physician accepted into Columbia Mailman School of Public Health.

Finance

I teach Finance to my Columbia, NYU and Pace students to graduate level. It also forms an integral part of the CFA, Actuarial Science, Accounting and MBA courses. I am often asked to guide students through the rigorous SOA/CAS Actuarial exams and I have been successfully navigating students to Associate level for a decade.

GMAT

I?ve been helping students through the Quantitative section of the GMAT and GRE and into the top Business/Graduate Schools in the USA for over a decade. I am often asked to help with the entire MBA or Graduate Degree once accepted. I also possess the best materials on the market and can train you in the optimum strategies per question type under the stringent time requirements.

Probability

I have taught probability and statistics in a diverse array of settings. There is the traditional route through AP Statistics as well as through undergraduate and graduate specialist courses. I can also assist in all prerequisite mathematical techniques and use of appropriate software or calculators. There are then many applications at Graduate level. I am often asked to guide students through the rigorous CFA, or SOA/CAS Actuarial exams and I have been successfully navigating students to Associate level for a decade. Other applications include, but are not limited to Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Finance, Business and MBA courses where I spend the bulk of my teaching time.

PSAT

I have been teaching ISEE and the SSAT for entry into prestigious private schools such as Horace Mann ( ranked number 1 in the US) for several years. Some students come from as far afield as Moscow, such is the demand for an experienced tutor in these tests. I also teach all follow up standard tests such as the PSAT, SAT, SAT math level 1 and 2, the GRE and GMAT. The tests are very similar and predictable, given appropriate mathematical training.

Financial Accounting

I?ve been helping students succeed in Financial Accounting for over a decade. I became a Qualified Accountant with KPMG in 2006. I also teach any heavily quantitative topic such as Finance, Corporate Finance, Real Estate Finance, Statistics, Macro/Microeconomics and Econometrics. I can also help with all the usual software, in addition to prerequisite Calculus and mathematical concepts.

Macroeconomics

I tutor undergraduate and graduate students in advanced Macroeconomics, Microeconomics from Columbia University, Columbia Business School and NYU. I also tutor Econometrics, Actuarial Science and most of the quantitative MBA courses, including financial economics, Accounting, Statistics and Corporate Finance.

I also tutor Econometrics, Actuarial Science and most of the quantitative MBA courses, including financial economics, Accounting, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Corporate Finance.

Business

In addition to an extensive background in Accounting - I qualified as an Audit manager with KPMG on an overseas secondment in the Caribbean - I have focused my tutoring business in getting students through the demanding statistics/accounting and corporate finance programs administered as part of the Executive MBA courses. Some of my recent successful students are graduating imminently from the prestigious engineering MBA offered at Wharton University of Penn.

ASVAB

I've been tutoring all aspects of the ASVAB for over 10 years. Many of my students score well enough to enter at Officer level. My help can continue once in the military. I recently helped a Navy Officer obtain his degree in Engineering from SUNY Maritime College. I have found my knowledge of advanced mathematics, English and other standardized tests directly applicable on helping potential students achieve their goals in this test. I break down the exam into efficient and effective test taking strategies so that each student has the best chance of succeeding on exam day.

Actuarial Science

Over the past 10 years, I have been successfully tutoring students in the early Society of Actuary and Casualty Actuarial examinations. I have reached Associate status with the SOA. Current students are taking Exam S for the CAS. Most students find that passing P1 and FM are sufficient to gain an actuarial trainee position by which time their education is fully funded. I can advise on getting that coveted first actuarial job. I also tutor candidates for the VEE portion - Corporate Finance, Economics and Linear Regression. I can also help you get up to speed in the necessary calculus, finance, statistics and probability background if you are a little rusty. I have a long background in Finance, mathematics and statistics. My early background was working as a Chartered Certified Accountant. I reached a fellowship status in 2006. I qualified with KPMG, working as Audit Manager in the Caribbean.

ADHD

During my time as a mathematics and test preparation tutor, I have worked extensively with ADD students of all ages from 8 to 26. Indeed, my first undergraduate thesis as a Psychology major focused specifically on the aetiology underlying ADD, then termed ADHD. My current Student with ADD is progressing nicely through his MBA at Fordham.

Biostatistics

I tutor students in Biostatistics and Epidemiology at Columbia Medical School. My current student is about to finish his Masters. Most of our work is performed using SAS. I have also taught statistics and regression in many other applications for several years. Applications include Psychology, Nursing, Marketing, Business Statistics for Managers, Actuarial Science, MBA, Economics and Econometrics to name just a few.
